The Angles had their four-game win streak snapped with their loss to the Mets in the first game of this interleague series. In their four-game streak their lineup was solid totaling 28 runs before they were shut out in yesterday’s game. The loss yesterday dropped the Halos to .500 and they are in 3rd place in the AL West eight games back of the Houston Astros. The Mets had lost seven in a row before beating L.A. yesterday. After being led by their pitching last season this season they rank dead last in the Majors in team ERA, so it is no surprise they are six games under .500. New York sits in 3rd place in the NL East 7.5 games back of the Washington Nationals. Wheeler has been decent this season after missing the last two coming back from Tommy John surgery. He will have a good outing tonight and just like Game 1 the Mets will win a low scoring affair.

The Indians had lost two in a row before beating the Astros yesterday in the first game of this AL series. They are in 2nd place in the AL Central only one game back of the Minnesota Twins. The Astros had their four-game win streak snapped with the loss to the Indians yesterday and while they are off the best start in franchise history they are only 1-3 against Cleveland on the season. Clevinger was not impressive in his last outing and he will not have a good one in this road game. Houston had totaled 32 runs in their four-game win streak before only scoring three in Game 1 of this series and they will tag up Clevinger. Fiers may not have the best outing, but he will not have to with the Astros lighting up the scoreboard. The Astros will take this game and win their 30th of the season.

The Rangers are the hottest team in the Majors, as they are riding a nine-game winning streak. They have been solid at the plate and on the mound in their win streak and they are now over .500 and in 2nd place in the AL West 7.5 games back of the Houston Astros. The Tigers have won two in a row and three of their last four games and they are tied with the Cleveland Indians in 2nd place in the AL Central only one game back of the Minnesota Twins. Detroit will be shorthanded in this game, as leading hitter and RBI man Victor Martinez is out for personal reasons and Miguel Cabrera is out with an injury. The Rangers are hot, but all of their wins in their streak were out home. They are well under .500 on the road this season and Martinez has struggled away from the Lone Star State. All streaks come to an end and the one for the Rangers will end in this game, as the Tigers will get the W.

The Phillies have lost four in a row and they are tied with the Miami Marlins for the fewest wins in the Majors. They are coming off being swept in their last series by the Texas Rangers where they were outscored 22-8. Philadelphia is in 4th place in the NL East 10 games back of the Washington Nationals. Hellickson has been their best starter this season and he four of their 14 wins. The Pirates have won two in a row and four of their last five games and in their last two games their offense has come alive totaling 16 runs. They are still in the basement of the NL Central 5.5 games back of the Milwaukee Brewers. Trevor Williams has one terrible start and one solid once since joining the rotation and while he may not have the best outing tonight he will get a lot of run support. The Pirates will stay hot and win their 3rd in a row sending the Phillies to their 4th straight loss.

The Yankees have taken the first two games of this series where they have outscored the Royals 18-8. They have won three of their last four games overall and they are in first place in the AL East with a 1.5 game lead over the Baltimore Orioles. Montgomery did not have the best last start and luckily he faces a Royals lineup that ranks dead last in the Majors in runs scored. The Royals have won four in a row before this series began and while they are in the basement of the AL Central they are still only five games out of first place. Duffy has been solid in his last two outings and he will have another good one tonight. In a low scoring affair his start will be the reason the Royals will win and avoid the series sweep.

The Blue Jays have lost the first three games of this home-and-home series and they had won their previous five games. Their pitching has been lit up in this series giving up a total of 27 runs in the three games. Toronto is in the basement of the AL East nine games back of the New York Yankees. The Braves have won five of their last six games and in those five wins they have totaled 38 runs. They have climbed into 2nd place in the NL East, but they are still five games under .500 and are eight games back of the Washington Nationals. Stroman is coming off a solid outing and Teheran has not pitched well this season and in his career facing the Blue Jays he has an ERA north of 6.00. Those things equal a Toronto win and they will avoid the series sweep.

The A's snapped their four-game losing streak with their win over the Mariners in the first game of this series and they are in the basement of the AL West 10.5 games back of the Houston Astros. They have struggled at the plate and on the mound for much of the season and in their last five games they have given up 29 runs. The Mariners have lost five of their last six games and they recently put slugger Robinson Cano on the 10-day DL. Seattle's Jean Segura is riding a 15-game hitting streak and he leads the AL in batting average. Hahn has been pretty solid on the season with a 2.74 ERA, but the lineup has not helped him out much. However, he will get some support in this game, as the Oakland bats will get to Bergman. The A's will take this game and win the division series.

The Red Sox have won two of their last three games and they are in 3rd place in the AL East four games back of the New York Yankees. They have scored six runs in each of their last two wins and they have been decent in that area this season after leading the Majors last season in runs scored. Even though the Cardinals lost the first game of this series they have won eight of their last 10 games and are in first place in the NL Central a half game up on the Milwaukee Brewers. They had only given up six runs in three straight games before giving up six in Game 1 of this interleague series. The Red Sox have won their last six interleague games with Porcello on the hill, but that trend will end in this game. Leake will have a good home outing and while the Cardinals will not light up Porcello they will score enough runs in the game to get the W.

The Yankees are in first place in the AL East, but they have lost four of their last five games. They have given up 21 runs in their last three games and send Sabathia to the hill, who has had success with the Yankees against the Royals, but has been struggling lately. The Royals are hot winners of four in a row and six of their last 10 games, but are still in the basement of the AL Central 4.5 games back of the Minnesota Twins. They have won each of their last three games by a single run. Hammel has also been struggling and that will continue, as this game will not be a pitcher’s duel. Kansas City’s lineup ranks last in the Majors in runs scored, but they put up nine runs in their last one and they will put up a lot in this game going against Sabathia. The Royals will get the win in the first game of this series in a high scoring game.

The Orioles are in the midst of a four-game losing streak where all of the losses came by one run. In their four-game skid they have given up 23 runs. Baltimore sits in 2nd place in the AL East only ½ game back of the New York Yankees. The Tigers have lost two of their last three games and their offense has been struggling as of late only scoring five runs in their last three games. Detroit is in 3rd place in the AL Central two games back of the Minnesota Twins. Neither starter has been lights out as of late and while the Tigers have lost Boyd’s last three starts that will change after this game. The Detroit lineup will come alive tonight facing Milley and the Tigers will take the first game of this series.

The Astros have won six of their last seven games and they have the most wins in the Majors. Not only that, but they are tied with the Washington Nationals for the biggest division lead, as they are 7.5 games up on the Texas Rangers in the AL West. The Astros have scored 21 runs in their last three games and while their pitching was solid for several games they have given up 18 runs in their last two games. The Marlins snapped their five-game losing streak in their last game and they have lost eight of their last 10 games and are 9.5 games back of the Nationals in the NL East. Miami has scored 22 runs in their last six games. The Marlins have really been struggling as of late, but they are still the pick in this game, as Straily has been solid at home on the season. He will have another good home outing and the Marlins will take the first game of this interleague series. 

The Braves had their modest two-game win streak snapped in their last game and they are in the basement of the NL East 9.5 games back of the Washington Nationals. While they only rank 2nd to last in the Majors in team ERA their pitching has been pretty good as of late giving up 12 runs in their last four games. However, in the game before that is when Colon was shelled for eight runs in five innings and he will have another rough outing tonight facing the Toronto lineup. The Blue Jays are red-hot winners of five straight games, but after a terrible start they are still in last place in the AL East 6.5 games back of the New York Yankees. Bolsinger will have another decent start, but the reason the Blue Jays will win is they will light up Colon. Take Toronto to take the first game of this series. 

The Pirates snapped their six-game losing streak with their win over the Diamondbacks in Game 2 of this series yesterday. Their offense is the main reason they are in the basement of the NL Central and in their last seven games they have totaled 17 runs. The Diamondbacks had won three in a row before losing yesterday and they are in 3rd place in the NL West two games back of the Colorado Rockies. Nova has not gotten much run support in his last few starts, but that will change today. Pittsburgh’s offense will get some runs off a struggling Ray and just like Game 2 they will win a close game and take this NL series.

The Cubs have lost three of their last five games and they have split the two games in this series. They have only scored six runs in their last two games and they are in 3rd place in the NL Central 2.5 games back of the Cardinals. St. Louis is hot winners of seven of their last eight games with the only loss in that span coming against the Cubs in the first game of this series. Both pitcher’s in this match up have not looked good as of late, but I see the same kind of game of when Arieta and Wainwright opposed each other in the 2nd game of the season. Arieta will get the better of Wainwright in a pitcher’s duel and the Cubs will take this game and win the series.

The Tigers have lost two of their last three games, but at least they have been consistent as of late. Well, in their last four games they have two wins where they have scored seven runs and two losses where they have gave up seven runs. With their loss in Game 2 of this series they fell to .500 on the season, but they are only two games out of first place in the AL Central. The Tigers have not had much success in L.A. in many years and have not won a series against the Angels there since the 2009 season. L.A. had lost two in a row only scoring one run in each game before breaking through for seven runs in yesterday’s win. While they sit in 2nd place in the AL West they are still eight games back of the Houston Astros, who are the only team over .500 in the division. Norris has not looked good in three of his last four starts and while the Angels’ lineup has not lit up the scoreboard lately they will put up some runs in this game and with Nolasco having a good start it equals a L.A. win.

After winning six in a row the Orioles have dropped their last two games, but they are still atop the AL East with a ½ game lead over the New York Yankees. In losing two in a row both of the games were one-run losses. Orioles DH Mark Trumbo is swinging a hot bat in an eight-game hitting streak going 12 for 32 with two HR. The Royals have won two in a row and four of their last five games, but they are still in the basement of the AL Central 5.5 games back of the Minnesota Twins. The Kansas City lineup has struggled on the season ranking dead last in the Majors in runs scored, but in the four wins in their last five games they have totaled 23 runs. Both starters are coming off solid last outings and with Tillman’s shoulder issues he will likely not go deep in this game. However, he and the Baltimore bullpen will have a good game and the game will be just like Game 1 in a low scoring affair, but this time the Orioles will come out on top and get the win.

The A’s have won four of their last five games and they are in 3rd place in the AL West 7.5 games back of the Houston Astros. They have scored three runs in their last three games, but their pitching has been solid winning two of them. Hahn has not had the best last two outings and look for him to struggle again tonight. The Rangers have won three in a row where they totaled 20 runs. However, they are still in the basement of the division 8.5 games back of the Astros. Cashner has been pretty good on the season, but has not gotten much run support. He will get some in this game and Texas will take the first game of this series and may get out of the basement of the AL West if the Tigers beat the Angels.

The Mariners had won four in a row, also winning their last four facing the Blue Jays, before losing the first game of this series. They had totaled 21 runs in two straight games before only crossing the plate twice in yesterday’s game. The loss dropped them to under .500 for the season and while they are in 2nd place in the AL West they are still seven games back of the Houston Astros. The Blue Jays have won two straight and four of their last five games and their offense has started to produce and in winning their last two games they have totaled 15 runs. Still, they are in the basement of the AL East nine games back of the Baltimore Orioles. Inexperienced pitching match up tonight and because of that going with the Blue Jays at home since their lineup has been solid in the last couple of games.

The Orioles had won the first two games of this home-and-home series before losing to the Nationals last night and that loss snapped their six-game win streak. They are tied with the New York Yankees atop the AL East. The Nationals had lost three in a row before their win over the Orioles last night and they are atop the NL East with a pretty comfortable 5.5 game lead over the New York Mets. Bundy has been solid on the season and he ranks 8th in the Majors in team ERA. He will have another good outing tonight and the same cannot be Cole. He did have a good start in his season debut, but the Orioles, who have 17 runs in the three games in this series, will get to him. The Orioles will win this game and take the interleague series.

The Astros have won three in a row and they have the most wins in the Majors. They have totaled 17 runs in their three-game winning streak and Carlos Correa is swinging a hot bat hitting .429 in his last seven games. Keuchel is coming off his worst loss of the season, but has had success facing the Yankees in his career. He is a lefty and will be up against a New York team that has won 10 of their last 11 games facing a left-hand starter. The Yankees had their six-game win streak snapped in their last game, but they will get back in the W column tonight. Pineda will have another quality start and while New York will not light up the scoreboard they will put up a few runs in winning a low scoring affair at home.
