Oakland: Jesse Hahn (1-2, 2.74 ERA)
Seattle: Christian Bergman (0-1, 4.15 ERA)

Jesse Hahn gets the call for this series finale tonight and in his last start he only gave up one earned run in seven innings, but the bullpen let him down in a 5-2 loss to the Texas Rangers. The A's have lost three of his last four starts and in that span he has given up seven earned runs in 24 innings and for the season the lineup has not given him much run support. In three career starts against the Mariners Hahn is 1-1 with an ERA of 2.50. This season Hahn has only given up one HR in 42 innings and is holding opponents to a .214 batting average. Oakland has lost his last four road starts and they have only won one of their last five games facing a team with a losing record with Hahn on the hill.

Christian Bergman goes for the Mariners and in his last start he gave up three earned runs in five innings in a 4-0 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. In two starts this season he has gone eight innings and given up four earned runs. Bergman spent last season with the Colorado Rockies where he had an ERA of 8.39 in 23 innings of work. In 57 career appearances, including 16 starts, opponents are batting over .350 against him.

Oakland A's vs. Seattle Mariners Prediction

The A's snapped their four-game losing streak with their win over the Mariners in the first game of this series and they are in the basement of the AL West 10.5 games back of the Houston Astros. They have struggled at the plate and on the mound for much of the season and in their last five games they have given up 29 runs. The Mariners have lost five of their last six games and they recently put slugger Robinson Cano on the 10-day DL. Seattle's Jean Segura is riding a 15-game hitting streak and he leads the AL in batting average. Hahn has been pretty solid on the season with a 2.74 ERA, but the lineup has not helped him out much. However, he will get some support in this game, as the Oakland bats will get to Bergman. The A's will take this game and win the division series.
