Last Time Out:

Inter defeated Roma 3-1; Juventus handled Sassuolo 3-1.

Previous meeting:

The sides finished in a 0-0 draw in the Coppa Italia on February 9 at Allianz Stadium.

About the Matchup:

It's now or never for Juventus if it wants to play in the Champions League next season. With two matches left in Serie A, Juve finds itself in fifth place and on the outside looking in at a top-four finish, and now they've got to get a result against the team that took their crown. A tie is a must to keep hope alive, and if Napoli manages to win its match on Saturday morning, nothing short of a win will do for the Old Lady.

That's music to Inter's ears, as the newly-crowned Nerazurri would love to condemn Juventus to the Europa League and can play with absolutely no pressure, given that they've already locked up the crown and have nothing more to play for until next season. Inter certainly hasn't looked like it's taking its foot off the gas, as it has won 13 of its last 15 matches in Serie A to leave no doubt in winning its first crown since the Juventus dynasty began. With a chance to ruin next season for the most polarizing side in Italy, Inter's going to go all out to try to do exactly that. Can Juventus get the result it needs to keep hope alive?

Scouting Inter:

Inter locked up the title with four matches to spare, and since then, the Nerazzurri has played with a newfound freedom. Prior to winning the title, Inter had been playing reasonably cautiously and opted for a defensive style, but with nothing left to fear, Inter has bagged eight goals in its past two matches and destroyed a pair of credible sides in Roma and Sampdoria.

There is a price Inter's had to pay for its freedom, and it's that both sides have scored in each of the Nerazurri's past two contests. The defense had been a strength for Inter, as it held five of its final nine opponents before winning the title scoreless, but since then, Inter's MO has seemed to be to focus on outscoring their opponents and dealing with whatever happens at the back. Against Roma, the Inter attack quickly buried the Wolves with two goals in 20 minutes, allowing Inter to do whatever it wanted when it had the ball.

Scouting Juventus:

When it comes to Juventus, the problem is never the offense. Having Cristiano Ronaldo will do that for you, as the Portuguese star has found the net 28 times this year and has scored in two of the Zebras' past three contests. The rest of the side are no slouches either, scoring 42 goals on the campaign, but in Serie A, that's actually a little on the lighter side because the Italian game is incredibly wide open.

And that's the problem for Juventus: the defense just does not get the job done. In Juve's past 12 matches, at least one goal has found the net. Against teams that can play defense, such as fellow Champions League contenders Atalanta and AC Milan, Juve's found itself in a world of trouble. Both teams have scored in seven of Juventus' past nine matches — but the two exceptions were a 3-0 home loss to AC Milan and a 1-0 loss at Atalanta.

Dan's Best Bets:

Given Juve's defensive issues and Inter's mindset, there's little chance of a repeat of the 0-0 match in Coppa Italia. There's little doubt that Inter's finding the mesh in this one, so I think the over is a solid way to play this. Inter does have the ability to shut out Juventus, but I don't think it's going to be all that focused on defense here, which means I also want to back both teams to score.

But because BTTS is only worth -165, I'll be pairing that with a result, and I think this match will see a tie and both to score at +333. Inter's played a few high-scoring draws this year, and with nine draws to its name, Juve's a good bet to end up sharing the points in a match where they need to at least get something out of it. If you want to play this more conservatively but still get plus money, I'd back Inter on a draw no bet at +125. I think a tie is more likely than either side getting a win, but if someone does win this match, I'm thinking it's going to be the champions.

Dan's Score Prediction:

Both teams have an incentive to go for goals here, and that should lead to a wide-open, entertaining match. Both teams saw four goals scored in their games last time out, and I think four goals is a likely occurrence again. However, this time, I think they divide those goals evenly. I'll back a 2-2 draw at +1200 for this match.
