<h2>
Anaheim at Edmonton Game Overview<br />
</h2>
<p>
Anaheim is 7-2-1 in its last 10 games, but Thursday’s 4-3 overtime loss to Winnipeg as a -133 road favorite has cut its lead in the Pacific Division title race over the Oilers to just one point. The total went OVER the closing 5.5-goal line in that game and it has gone OVER or ended as a PUSH in four of the Ducks’ last five games. They now have 96 total points behind an overall record of 42-23-12 and their record on the road this season is 16-15-8.
</p>
<p>
Corey Perry’s second goal on Thursday night came on a power play as the only score in the second period to give Anaheim a 3-1 lead, but two Winnipeg goals in the third including one with just 12 seconds left in regulation sent that game to overtime. The Ducks are averaging 2.6 goals per game this season, but that average has jumped to four goals over their last five games. Jonathan Bernier continues to get the majority of the starts in goal and his goals-against average stands at 2.47 with a .918 save percentage.
</p>
<p>
The Oilers extended their current winning streak to four games with Thursday’s 3-2 victory against San Jose as -133 home favorites and they have gone 8-2 over their last 10 games. The logjam atop this division now has the Oilers (95) two points ahead of the Sharks (93) with Calgary still in the hunt with 90 points. Edmonton has won its last seven games at home to improve to 23-12-4 at Rogers Place this season. The total ended as a PUSH in Thursday’s win after staying UNDER in four of its previous six games.
</p>
<p>
Patrick Maroon scored a pair of goals and Connor McDavid added a short-hand score in the second period to pace the Oilers against San Jose, while goalie Cam Talbot turned away 38 of the 40 shots he faced. The Oilers are the 10th-highest scoring team in the NHL with an average of 2.9 goals per games and they are seventh in goals allowed (2.5). McDavid leads the team in both goals (28) and assists (63) and Talbot has been the lead goalie all season long with a GAA of 2.37.

Anaheim Ducks at Edmonton Oilers Prediction

The Pacific has been one of the most competitive divisions all season long with the top four teams trading wins for losses in their individual season series. This particular matchup has been one of the best and Saturday night’s rubber game should be a good, hard-fought battle for all three periods.

In the end, I am leaning towards Edmonton taking the season series with the win on Saturday as once again home ice prevails.
