Tennessee at Pittsburgh Game Overview

Tennessee continues to set the pace with Jacksonville in the AFC South at 6-3 straight-up following Sunday’s 24-20 victory against Cincinnati. The Titans failed to cover as 4.5-point home favorites to fall to 1-4-1 against the spread over their last six games. The total went OVER 40.5 points against the Bengals and it has gone OVER in six of their last eight games.

Marcus Mariota threw for 264 yards and one score in Sunday’s win, while also adding 51 yards on the ground over six rushing attempts. The Titans ended the day with 180 rushing yards as part of an offense that is seventh in the NFL when it comes to running the ball. They are 13th in the league in scoring with 22.8 points a game to complement a defense that is allowing an average of 23.7 points.

The Steelers have opened up a three-game lead in the AFC North behind a SU four-game winning streak. They failed to cover as 10.5-point road favorites in Sunday’s tight 20-17 victory against Indianapolis to fall to 5-4 ATS. The total has now stayed UNDER in eight of their first nine games. Pittsburgh is 2-1 ATS in three previous home games this season.

Everyone expects Le’Veon Bell to rack up the yards on the ground while Antonio Brown puts up big numbers catching the ball. Bell ran for 80 yards on Sunday and Brown pulled down three balls for 47 receiving yards, but it was rookie wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster that led the way against the Colts with five catches for 97 yards and a score. You also have to credit a Steelers’ defense for the win after holding Indy to 267 yards of total offense.

Tennessee at Pittsburgh Week 11 ATS Prediction

The Titans remain in the thick of the AFC South title race, but they are stepping up in class this Thursday night in a very tough place to win a game. The Steelers have built up some momentum over their past four games with much better consistency on both sides of the ball. I do not see Pittsburgh taking a step backwards at home this late in the season, so I will lay the seven points with a ‘best bet’ the Steelers cover the touchdown spread.
