New England at Denver Game Overview

The Patriots have been able to get past an unexpected 2-2 straight-up start to win its next four games before last week’s bye. They have gone an even 4-4 against the spread during this same span and the total has stayed UNDER in their last four outings. New England is 2-1 ATS on the road this season with the total staying UNDER in two of the three games.

With Tom Brady leading the league’s top offense in both passing yards and total yards per game, the Patriots are averaging 27.0 points per game. This scoring trend has actually softened during this four-game winning streak to just 21.8 PPG, but New England’s defense has been able to step things up by only allowing a combined 51 points in those four victories. Brady has thrown for 2,541 yards and 16 touchdowns including five TD throws to tight end Rob Gronkowski.

Denver’s season continues to go from bad to worse coming off a 51-23 beatdown at the hands of Philadelphia last Sunday as a seven-point road underdog. It is now 3-5 SU (2-5-1 ATS) and in the midst of a four-game losing streak (SU and ATS). The total went way OVER 41 points in Sunday’s loss and it has now gone OVER in five of the Broncos’ first eight games. They return home with a 2-1-1 record ATS in four previous games at Mile High this year.

Head coach Vance Joseph has decided to stick with Brock Osweiler has his starting quarterback for Sunday night in place of an ineffective Trevor Siemian. It probably does not matter who is under center for an offense that has averaged just 13.6 points over its last five games. Even the vaunted Denver defense was exposed against the Eagles by getting torched for four touchdowns through the air and three on the ground.

New England Patriots at Denver Broncos Week 10 ATS Prediction

New England is well rested and primed for a second-half run which is a bad combination for a Denver team that appears to be on the verge of a complete collapse following one of its worst losses in recent memory. You can only out so much pressure on one side of the ball and, on the heels of Philly’s offensive explosion, Brady and the Patriots’ offense should be able to exploit the dire situation with the Broncos as well. Lay the points and take the road favorite to cover on Sunday night.
