<p>
Perhaps one of the most anticipated matchups of the entire 2018 season, it’s finally here as the undefeated Los Angeles Rams go on the road in one of their toughest games of the season to take on a New Orleans Saints team that has won six straight games. The Saints are favored at -1 thanks to the home field advantage, looking to hand the Rams their first loss of the season.

<h2>
Saints Underlooked<br />
</h2>
<p>
MVP candidate Drew Brees has led his squad to six straight wins after losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1, and the road hasn't been easy. Their last three wins have come against the Redskins, Ravens, and Vikings and after the Week 9 matchup against the Rams will take on the Bengals, Eagles, and Falcons. It's no question that the Saints have had one of the toughest schedules in the league this season, but with a well-balanced offensive and defensive approach and a future Hall of Fame QB, this is a team for the Rams to worry about. Brees is completing 77% of his passes and has thrown for 1,990 yards with a 14:1 TD to INT ratio.

<p>
Against the Vikings in Week 8, the Saints were able to win 30-20 despite Brees only passing for 120 yards. The Saints defensive unit was able to force a couple of turnovers and convert one of them into a defensive touchdown. With that defense, they have the pass rush and athletic linebackers but the biggest question all season has been the secondary. The team expected bigger things out of CB Ken Crawley and S Kurt Coleman, who has seemingly been replaced by the newly acquired CB Eli Apple and third-year S Vonn Bell. If New Orleans can get help opposite of CB Marshon Lattimore, then they can beat any team in the league.

<h2>
Gurley Guiding Rams<br />
</h2>
<p>
This is a matchup of two teams that have some of the best pure talent in the backfield. The Saints have arguably the best RB tandem between Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram, but the Rams have the best back in the league right now in Todd Gurley. Gurley already has 15 touchdowns on the season, and we're now at the halfway point of the season. Enter the Saints who rank 1st in rushing yards allowed (74.1) to really spice things up. Gurley averages 100 yards on the ground per game and now has his toughest challenge in Week 9.
</p>
<p>
The Rams hope to get WR Cooper Kupp back this week after missing the past two games with a knee injury. Josh Reynolds stepped up big with two touchdowns in Sunday’s Week 8 win over the Packers, but it was clear Jared Goff has missed Kupp the past couple of weeks as his safety blanket. With receiving weapons like Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp and Brandin Cooks, who’s making his return to New Orleans after spending his first three seasons with the Saints, Goff looks to flourish against a Saints secondary that allows 300 yards through the air per game, ranking them 28th in the league.

LA Rams at New Orleans Saints Prediction 11/04/2018

The 1972 Miami Dolphins remained the only NFL team to complete an entire season undefeated and untied from the opening game through the Super Bowl. With that said, this is by far the Rams toughest matchup of the season and traveling to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome to take on Drew Brees, and the Saints is never a walk in the park. We're taking the home Saints team this week to upset the Rams and end their undefeated season.
