Buffalo Bills at Green Bay Packers Overview

Buffalo Bills

The Bills come in off a shocking victory of the Minnesota Vikings in Minneapolis, last Sunday when they laid waste to the Vikings by a score of 27-6. Despite closing as a 16.5-point underdog, the Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen led this team to a dominant performance that saw the game all but decided at halftime. The win came on the heels of two grisly performances against the Baltimore Ravens and Los Angeles Chargers.

Green Bay Packers

The Packers come in off a 31-17 defeat in D.C. at the hands of a 2.5-point underdog in Washington. Overall, the Packers have been a bit of an enigma this year, and much of this circulates around the health of their franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers who has been playing hurt for the previous three weeks. Green Bay overcame a 20-point deficit to get their only win this year at home against the Chicago Bears.

Reasons To Back Buffalo

The market is reluctant to place any stock in Buffalo’s victory last week at Minnesota. The result seemingly has been written off as a fluke chalked up to Minnesota looking ahead to their Thursday night collision with the Rams. Buffalo will once again come into this affair with a chip on their shoulder looking to prove that what happened last week was no joke. Giving this team an enhanced point spread only places more equity in backing them here.

Reasons To Avoid Green Bay

Generally, when you back Green Bay at home, you can expect to pay a premium to do so. Home field advantage is emphasized heavily with the Pack, and as a result, we see them laying significant lumber here against a football team they are better than on paper. However, Aaron Rodgers remains just one bad hit away from being out of the game in which case Green Bay becomes far more easy to defeat. Given the lumber required to lay here, this is a reason to avoid the Packers altogether.

Buffalo at Green Bay Prediction 09/30/2018

In the times we have seen Josh Allen take the field in both the pre-season and last week, he has emerged as an impact player. As long as Allen is on the field, the Bills are a different team, and he is a dangerous guy to give a touchdown plus a field goal to. Expect Buffalo to menace Green Bay this week in what will likely be an offensive-oriented affair.
