Season's Record: Falcons: 6-7 Jaguars: 5-8

Atlanta rolled over in an embarrassing 38-0 loss to Carolina last week. After a 5-0 start they have won only 1 of their last 8 games. QB Matt Ryan continued his slump by going 22-34 for 224 yards and a pick. He was sacked 5 times and the offense committed 4 TOs. The running game wasn't a factor as the Falcons gained 54 yards on 16 carries. The defense was run on (142 yards, 2 TDs) and passed on (282 yards, 3 TD passes) at will. This was as bad a result as the team has had in several years.

Jacksonville scored the most regular-season points in team history in a 51-16 pasting of Indianapolis on Sunday. QB Blake Bortles was 16-30 for 250 yards and 3 scores. He also scored a rushing TD but lost 2 fumbles. As a team, the Jaguars ran for 154 yards. WR Allen Hurns caught 3 passes for 105 yards and a TD. KR Rashad Greene had a 73-yard punt return for a score and DE Andre Branch returned a fumble 49 yards for a score. It was a great team effort for the Jaguars as they reached 5 wins for the first time since 2011.

Atlanta at Jacksonville Prediction

The offense has been a problem for Atlanta failing to reach 20 points in a game over their last three, but they played a couple of good units (Minnesota and Carolina) in that stretch and should find the going easier this week. The Jaguars have the 30th ranked scoring defense allowing 27.5 points per game while not facing the most daunting schedule. On the other side of the line the jaguar offense has been impressive in recent weeks raking up 380 or more yards in their last three points and with some help from the defense lighting up the scoreboard for 38 points per game over the three games. They'll face an Atlanta defense that has allowed 26.25 points per game in their last four and has looked tired and uninterested last week against Carolina who got out to a 28-0 lead in the first half and coasted in the second of a 38-0 spanking.
