In a re-match of a national championship game of not too long ago, the Oregon Ducks fly East to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes at the Big Horseshoe in Columbus. This game was supposed to be played last year in Eugene, but, well, you probably know what happened. Ohio State was favored by two touchdowns last week at Minnesota, and now it's favored by two touchdowns over the Oregon. But the Ducks are better than the Gophers, right? And how are we playing this game with our <a class="advblue" href="https://www.sportsbettingstats.com/ncaaf/free-ncaaf-picks&quot; title="College Football Picks ATS">free college football betting pick</a>?

<p>
The Ducks opened their 2021 season with a 31-24 victory over a game Fresno State team at home last Saturday. Oregon turned two early Bulldogs turnovers into touchdowns and led 21-13 at the half. The Ducks then allowed the Bulldogs to score the first 11 points out of the locker room to fall behind 24-21 early in the fourth quarter. But Oregon kicked a field goal to tie the score at 24-24, took the lead with a touchdown with three minutes left, and hung on from there. However, the Ducks came up short against the spread as 17-point favorites. Also, that game played under a total of 62.5. The Ducks actually got out-gained by Fresno State 373-358 but out-rushed the Bulldogs 186-75 and won the turnover battle 3-1, creating a +14 points differential. Oregon returned 16 starters this season, nine on offense and seven on defense, from a team that played 4-3 last year. The Ducks didn’t win the Pac-12 North but played in the Pac-12 championship game anyway and beat USC. Oregon then lost the Fiesta Bowl to Iowa State. Coming into this season, the Ducks are expected to battle it out with Washington again for the top spot in the Pac-12 North. The Buckeyes, meanwhile, opened their 2021 campaign with a 45-31 win at Minnesota last Thursday night. Ohio State scored the first 10 points of the game but trailed 14-10 at the half. The Buckeyes still trailed 21-17 midway through the third quarter but scored twice over a three-minute span to take the lead for good. Near the end, Ohio State tacked on an insurance touchdown to push the spread as a 14-point favorite. Also, that game played over a total of 61. The Buckeyes, with a bunch of big plays on offense, posted 495 total yards, including 201 on the ground. But OSU also gave up 408 yards of Gophers offense, 203 on the ground. Ohio State returned 11 starters this season, six on offense and five on defense, from a team that played 7-1 last year, won the Big Ten again, and beat Clemson in a College Football Playoff semifinal, before getting blown out by Alabama in the national championship game. The Buckeyes are huge favorites to win the Big Ten again this season (that would be five in a row) and excellent candidates to return to the CFP.

Ducks vs. Buckeyes Prediction 9/11/21

Ohio State is going to win this game; it's just a matter of the final margin. But Oregon returns an experienced quarterback, some nice skills people, its entire offensive line, and a solid defense. And playing this game on the road gives the Ducks a few more points to play with. We'll take Oregon and the points.
