The No. 13 Kansas Jayhawks (22-7) will travel to take on the Oklahoma Sooners (18-11) Tuesday night, as both teams look to close out the last two games of the season. The Jayhawks won the first matchup of the season against the Sooners 70-63 back on Jan 2. Dedric Lawson had 13 points and 15 rebounds, as Kansas’ young backcourt made enough crucial plays when it mattered. Devon Dotson added 16 points and fellow freshman Quentin Grimes had 14 for Kansas. The Jayhawks now prepare for the second go-around with the Sooners, as they currently sit a game behind both No. 11 Texas Tech and No. 16 Kansas State for the first-place spot in the Big 12. They hold an 11-5 conference record and are coming off back-to-back victories. Kansas is just -1 in this game over Oklahoma.

Kansas’ last win came in Stillwater against Oklahoma State by a final score of 72-67. Lawson led the way once again for the Jayhawks with a team-high 20 points and 15 rebounds. Grimes tacked on 17 points to hold off the Cowboys on Saturday night.

“We did play with a sense of urgency, even though it may not have turned out the way we wanted to, but I wouldn’t have blamed it on that at all,” Kansas coach Bill Self said. “It wasn’t because we played poorly, it was just because Oklahoma State played well.”

The Jayhawks will now take a trip down Interstate 35 to the Lloyd Noble Center to take on the Sooners. Kansas hasn't played near as well on the road this season (3-7) as they have at home where they are a perfect 16-0 on the season. Only defeating a 3-13 team like Oklahoma State is a sign that fans may be worried about because you're not playing every single game on your home court. With that being said Bill Self remains one of college's basketball's best coaches, and he'll have his team ready for the NCAA tournament.

Sooners finishing Home Schedule<br />

Oklahoma was able to grab a convincing 92-80 victory over West Virginia on Saturday night before finishing the regular season off against No. 13 Kansas and No. 18 Kansas State. Freshman Jamal Bieniemy and senior Aaron Calixte finished with 22 points apiece against the Volunteers, while Kristian Doolittle tacked on 15 and Brady Manek finished with 14 points. Oklahoma was outrebounded 35-27 against West Virginia but shot a very impressive 59.2 percent from the field and 47.6 percent from behind the arc. Bieniemy finished 4-of-5 from deep, and Calixte ended the night 3-of-5. If the Sooners can shoot the ball that well on Tuesday night then they'll have a chance to pull off the upset over Kansas.

Kansas at Oklahoma NCAAB Prediction 03/05/2019

The Jayhawks were able to win the rebounding battle in their last game 41-34 but got away with a win despite shooting just 42.9 percent from the field and 37.9 percent from deep. Tuesday night will be an opportunity for Kansas to prove that they're not just a team who can win at home. ESPN's matchup predictor has the Jayhawks favored at 54.6 percent, as they'll travel back home after this game to take on Baylor and finish off their regular season. We are going to take the Jayhawks to win this game on the road and keep their chances alive.
