<p>
The Golden State Warriors picked right back up from where they left off with a dominating 116-94 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. Remember that this is a Warriors team that is without DeMarcus Cousins, and now without Kevin Durant. The Warriors are unreal at what they do, and fans of basketball just need to sit back and enjoy history. Golden State is listed at -8.

Warriors Score Quickly
</p>
<p>
Game 1 was close through the first three quarters until Golden State erupted for 39 points in the fourth quarter to close the game out. The "Splash Brothers" did their thing, as Stephen Curry scored a team-high 36 points and Klay Thompson was right behind him with 26 points. Curry shot 9-of-15 from 3-point land, and Thompson finished 3-for-9. Draymond Green turned in a really good game finishing with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists.
</p>
<p>
Now, all that Portland can do is go back to the drawing board and try to figure out a way to steal a game from Golden State before Durant makes his return to the Warriors lineup.
</p>
<p>
Golden State absolutely shutdown Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum, and that’s how you beat the Trail Blazers. Lillard scored a team-high 19 points in 37 minutes, while McCollum scored 17 points in his 38 minutes. The supporting cast of the Trail Blazers played rather well, but you’re not going to win in Golden State when your top two players struggle.

<h2>
Kanter Huge Key<br />
</h2>
<p>
Enes Kanter scored 10 points for Portland and finished with a game-high 16 rebounds. Moe Harkless and Rodney Hood each poured in 17 points for the Trail Blazers, but the team just couldn’t piece things together.
</p>
<p>
Portland outrebounded Golden State 55-47, but the most significant difference was the shooting percentages. The Warriors shot 50 percent from the field and an insane 51.5 percent from deep. The Trail Blazers shot a horrific 36.1 percent from the field and then 25 percent from 3-point. This is clearly a game that Portland would like to forget, as they'll look to rebound in Thursday's game.
</p>
<p>
Curry was the Trail Blazers biggest problem. Anytime a guy is hitting nine 3-pointers in a game you just have to tip your cap and applaud a performance like that. It seems that when Thompson isn't on his game, then Curry steps up his game, and vice versa. These two players continue to prove why most consider them two of the greatest shooters of all-time.

Trailblazers at Warriors Prediction 05/17/2019

The bad news for the Trail Blazers, Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors, is that Durant is arguably the best scorer of the basketball in the game and he'll be making his return from a strained calf shortly. The most recent news about Durant (via: Rotoworld) is that the All-Star forward hasn't even stepped foot on the court since injuring his calf during the Western Conference Semi-Finals. Durant most likely won't dress for Game 2, but as long as the Warriors keep winning coach, Steve Kerr could decide to hold Durant out until the Finals. Despite that - the Warriors win and win big again.
