The Toronto Raptors (65-28) and the Philadelphia 76ers (58-35) will face off for all the marbles in Game Seven of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The winner punches their ticket to Milwaukee on Wednesday for Game One of the Eastern Conference Finals. In Game Six, the Sixers averted elimination when they defeated the Raptors 112-101 as a one-point underdog.

Philadelphia 76ers at Toronto Raptors Overview

Philadelphia 76ers

In Game Six, the Sixers got back to doing what they do best: playing physical basketball. The 76ers re-established their dominance on the glass as they outrebounded the Raptors by a margin of 52-34. Moreover, Philadelphia outscored Toronto in regards to points in the paint by a margin of 56-42. In Game Five, Philadelphia was outclassed in both these categories by Toronto in what was nothing short of a thumping sustained at the hands of We The North.

Toronto Raptors

In Game Five, another difference maker resided in the three-point efficiency of both sides. The 76ers hit 35.7 of their attempts while the Raptors went cold from beyond the arc with a 25% three-point percentage. Nevertheless, Forward Kawhi Leonard produced his third consecutive double-double against the 76ers going for 29 points and 12 rebounds.

Reasons To Avoid Philadelphia

Despite playing a superior game in Game Six, the Sixers committed 18 turnovers to Toronto’s 12. With all these narratives considered, the Sixers cannot afford to play in such an inefficient way in a hostile environment and expect their offense to bail them out. After all, they are up against a Toronto team that has only allowed them to break the 100-point threshold in two games this series, both of which occurred in the City of Brotherly Love.

Reasons To Back Toronto

Home court advantage is a significant edge to bode in Game Seven, and given how strong this Toronto team has been on its own hardwood for the last two seasons, we have to like their prospects of advancing here. In addition, Toronto is the third best team in the NBA in scoring margin at home as they outscore opponents on average by 8.5 points. In this series, Toronto's two wins in the Great White North has been by double digits. So once again, the price dictates the play here.

76ers at Raptors Prediction 05/10/2019

In the last two matches between these two sides, there has been a lot of zig-zagging. In Game Five, almost all were on the Sixers when they opened at the same price they are offered here. Toronto would continue to blow their doors off. In Game Six, the Raptors saw a lot of late action as a bucket favorite, and the Sixers would stage an upset. Now, the zag has gone back in the other direction as early money has seemed to move in on Philly. I'll once again and head the other way and back Toronto to advance with style on its own court.
