Minnesota at Sacramento Game Overview

The Timberwolves hammered Chicago 122-104 on Saturday as 7.5-point home favorites after losing to Houston 120-102 on Friday night as 7.5-point road underdogs in their first two games coming off the All-Star break. The win against the Bulls was the first time they covered against the spread in their last seven games, and the total has gone OVER in seven of their previous eight outings.

With that 1-1 start to the stretch run of the regular season, Minnesota continues to hold down the No. 3 spot in the Western Conference standings. Behind the play of Karl-Anthony Towns, Jimmie Butler and Andrew Wiggins, this is the sixth-highest scoring team in the league (109.8 points). However, Butler will be out of the lineup for an extended amount of time with a knee injury. In his place, Jeff Teague scored a team-high 25 points in the win against the Bulls.

Sacramento went into the break with two straight-up wins in its previous seven games. It came off the break with back-to-back losses at home against Oklahoma City and the Los Angeles Lakers closing as an underdog in each contest. The total ended as a PUSH on a closing line of 221 points in Saturday’s 113-108 loss to the Lakers as a two-point underdog. The total had gone OVER in five of the Kings’ previous seven games. They are now 8-19 SU at home this season with an 11-16 record ATS.

Veteran forward Zach Randolph continues to lead Sacramento in both points (14.8) and rebounds (7.0), but he ended the game against Los Angeles with just seven points and two rebounds in 20 minutes on the court. In 40 minutes of playing time against the Thunder, he posted 29 points and 12 rebounds. The Kings are ranked 29th in the NBA in scoring with an average of 99.0 points, and they improve to 18th at the other end of the court in points allowed (106.9).

Minnesota at Sacramento Game Prediction 02/26/2018

Minnesota has been a terrible bet lately, but it also knows that this is the time of the season where you must start winning the games you are supposed to with some level of authority. The Kings are going nowhere fast, and the whole issue of tanking should be factored into the equation on a nightly basis. That is why I am going with the Timberwolves both SU and ATS on Monday night.
