Miami at Houston Game Overview<br />
</h2>
<p>
Miami’s 106-105 victory against Charlotte on Saturday as a three-point road favorite evened its mark to 2-2 both straight-up and against the spread through the first four matchups in this five-game swing on the road. The total has gone OVER in three of the four games. The Heat are 27-19 SU on the year with a 21-23-2 record ATS. They have gone a solid 15-10 on the road both SU and ATS heading into Houston.
</p>
<p>
In what has been a total team effort with no glaring superstars in the lineup, Miami is holding down fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings. It is 8-2 SU over its last 10 games behind an offensive attack that is 27th in the NBA in scoring with an average of 101.2 points per game. The main strength of this team is at the other end of the court with a defensive effort that is fourth in the league in points allowed (101.9). Point guard Goran Dragic missed Saturday’s start with a knee injury and he remains listed as day-to-day for Monday’s contest.

<p>
Houston is coming off a huge 116-108 victory against Golden State on Saturday as a slight 2.5-point home underdog. The total stayed UNDER the closing 237.5-point line. The Rockets have gone 5-1 both SU and ATS in their last six games to close the gap with the Warriors in the Western Conference standings to 3.5 games with a SU record of 32-12 (22-21-1 ATS). They have gone 17-6 SU at home this season and 10-12-1 ATS in those 23 games. The total has now stayed UNDER in their last four games.
</p>
<p>
The return of James Harden to the lineup has been a welcomed sight after missing seven games due to injury. The rust was evident in last Thursday’s 116-98 victory against Minnesota with just 10 points while going 3-for-15 from the field. Harden looked more like the player that is averaging 31.5 points per game against Golden State with 22 points on an 8-for-16 shooting effort that included five three-point buckets on nine attempts.

Miami Heat at Houston Rockets Free Game Prediction

Dragic’s playing status for Monday night needs to be monitored as we get closer to tip-off at the Toyota Center, but I do like the Heats’ chances to close out this road trip with a big SU win. The Rockets could be in for a bit of a letdown coming off Saturday’s crucial upset to open the door just wide enough for Miami to capitalize. My ‘best bet’ pick for this game is still the UNDER on the 216-point total line, with the Heat controlling the game’s tempo most of the night.
