<p>
The Rockies were cold a week ago, but they've now found some heat, with five wins in a row, after taking the first two games of this four-game series with the Phillies in Denver. Can Colorado make it six straight Saturday? And who do we like for our free MLB pick?
</p>
<h2>
MLB Betting Odds<br />
</h2>
<p>
Saturday's MLB betting odds opened Philadelphia and Nola at around -115 over Colorado and Senzatela, with an over/under of 10.5 runs. Early betting action then bumped that line about a dime, to around -125.
</p>
<p>
The Phillies could also be found getting around +125 giving the run and a half on the MLB run line.

<h2>
Phillies vs. Rockies Set-Up<br />
</h2>
<p>
Colorado grabbed the opener of this series Thursday night 6-2, then won Friday night 4-3 on Charlie Blackmon's two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the 12th inning.
</p>
<p>
Bryce Harper had given Philadelphia a 3-2 lead Friday with an RBI double in the top of the twelfth before the Philly bullpen blew it.
</p>
<p>
So the Rockies now own a five-game winning streak, after losing eight in a row. At 8-12 overall Colorado trails first-place Los Angeles by 5.5 games in the NL West.
</p>
<p>
The Phillies are 4-6 over their last 10 games. At 11-7 overall Philly leads the NL East by a half-game over the second-place Mets.
</p>
<p>
This series is the first encounter between these teams this season. Last season the Rockies took five of seven games from the Phillies.
</p>
<h2>
Saturday's Starting Arms<br />
</h2>
<p>
Senzatela started this season on the DL nursing a sore foot, but he made his season debut a success Monday against San Diego, allowing just one run and six hits through 6 2/3 innings of a 5-2 Colorado victory. Senzatela needed only 83 pitches to get those 20 outs, which is pretty good.
</p>
<p>
Last year Senzatela finished 4/13 on quality starts, but also came within three outs of a QS three times. He also completed the season well, allowing five runs over his last four starts, covering 21 2/3 innings, including a good effort against Milwaukee in the National League playoffs. The Rockies finished 7-6 with Senzatela previous season.
</p>
<p>
In his only career start against Philadelphia, last September Senzatela allowed one run and five hits through 4 2/3 innings of a 5-3 Rockies win.
</p>
<p>
Nola is just one-for-four on QS this season and 0 for his last three. Last time out, Monday against the Mets, Nola got nicked for five runs on seven hits and three walks through just four innings of a 7-6 Philly defeat. And over his last three starts, he's allowed 15 earned runs and 19 hits through 13 1/3 innings.
</p>
<p>
The Phillies are 1-3 with Nola this season.
</p>
<p>
In two career starts against Colorado, one last year and one in 2017, Nola allowed just three runs and 10 hits through 13 2/3 innings, with 17 whiffs. Philly won both those games.

</p>
<p>
Colorado is batting just, 214/.269/.348 against RH pitching this season.
</p>
<h2>

</p>

Phillies vs Rockies Prediction 04/20/2019

Colorado is suddenly hot, while Philadelphia is treading water, at best. Also, Nola is struggling, and Coors Field isn't exactly friendly toward struggling pitchers. In fact, it almost seems like the oddsmakers have the wrong team favored here. We'll take the home-dog Rockies for our free MLB pick for Saturday.
