<p>
David Phelps goes the Marlins tonight and in his last outing he gave up one earned run in five innings of work in a 1-0 loss to the San Francisco Giants. The Marlins had won his previous three appearances. Phelps made just the 2nd start of the season in his last one and he has pitched well out of the bullpen as of late only giving up one earned run in his last six appearances. The Marlins are 2-6 in Phelps' last 8 road starts.

<p>
Brandon Finnegan gets the start for the Reds and in his last outing he gave up three earned runs in six innings in a 7-4 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. The Reds have won his last three starts. Finnegan had not given up an earned run in his previous two starts before his last one. The Reds are 3-7 in Finnegan’s last 10 home starts, but they have won five of their last six home games with him on the hill.

Miami Marlins vs. Cincinnati Reds Prediction

Miami has owned this series as of late taking all three earlier this season at home and the last two in 2015 for a five game series win streak. They may be in tough tonight against the Reds with lefty Brandon Finnegan on the mound. The marlins hit left-handed pitching well but Finnegan has had great stuff in recent outings allowing just three runs in his last three starts covering 18 innings. Miami starter David Phelps hasn’t recorded a quality start in his last five pitching five or less innings in each one. I’ll take a shot on the home team who is profitable 7-3 in their last ten at the Great American Ball Park.
