Colorado Rockies vs. San Diego Padres Prediction

The Rockies snapped their four-game losing streak with a win over the Padres in the 2nd game of this series. They are in the 2nd spot for the NL Wild Card, but are only 1.5 games up on the St. Louis Cardinals and two games up on the Milwaukee Brewers. Colorado is led by their lineup, but in their last five games they have only totaled 10 runs and they were shut out in two straight games before winning Game 2 of this series. The Padres have lost two of their last three games after dropping three straight and they are well out of the playoff race and can just play spoiler. The Rockies are 4-1 in Bettis’ last five starts against the Padres, but he had a terrible last outing. The Padres will get to him tonight while Chacin will have a good outing. Add those things up and you get a San Diego win sending Colorado to their 5th loss in their last six games.
