Colorado Rockies vs. New York Mets 07 15 17 Prediction

The Rockies were in the heart of the NL West race for most of the season, but in losing 14 of their last 19 games they have fallen into 3rd place in the division 10.5 games back of the hot L.A. Dodgers. They were routed in their first game back after the All Star break and they have not won back-to-back games in nearly a month. The Mets had lost two in a row and five of six games before the break before beating the Rockies in the first game of this series. They had only totaled one run in losing two in a row before blowing up for 14 runs yesterday. New York is in 4th place in the NL East 12 games back of the Washington Nationals. Chatwood had been solid for a few starts before struggling in his last three and he will have issues in the Big Apple tonight. He has given up eight earned runs in his last two road starts and the Mets will rough him up in this game. Lugo did not have good last start, but his last appearance was out of the bullpen where he was pretty solid. He will have a decent home outing tonight and the Mets will have the reeling Rockies another loss.
