<p>
Jose Quintana goes for the White Sox tonight and in his last outing he gave up three earned runs in seven innings in a 6-3 win over the Detroit Tigers. The White Sox have won five of his last six starts. Quintana has given up a combined five earned runs in his last four starts. The White Sox are 4-1 in Quintana’s last 5 road starts and they have won five of their last six games with him on the hill overall.
</p>
<p>
Ian Kennedy gets the call for the Royals and in his last outing he was solid not giving up any earned runs in six innings in a 3-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays. The Royals have lost his last seven starts, but they have only scored one run in his last two outings. The Royals are 2-5 in Kennedy’s last 7 starts facing a team with a losing record.

Chicago White Sox vs. Kansas City Royals Prediction

The White Sox Quintana has pitched well since early July recording five quality starts in six outings. He has pitched OK against the Royals with three QS in his last five starts, but CWS dropped all but one of those games. Kansas City counters with Ian Kennedy who has been sharp in his last two, but was lit up for seven runs in 5 2/3 in his last start against the White Sox back in early June. All four games at Kauffman Stadium this season have exceeded the total line and that’s what I’m going to bet on that continuing today.
