Manchester City (27-1-3) was pretty dominant in their last match for the Premier League last week, where they easily overcame Everton by 3-1 on the road. They had already taken a three-goal lead by the 37th minute and only conceded a harmless goal at the 63rd for the final 3-1. Manchester City is still leading the Premier League with 84 points after 31 matches, still a whopping 16 points ahead of the 2nd Manchester United. A win here would mathematically secure them the title, so this is a crucial match for City. However, City is also engaged in the Champions League, where they suffered a bad 0-3 loss on the road against Liverpool in the first leg of the quarter-finals. Moreover, the second leg is due just three days after their match with Manchester United, so this might complicate things. They will be coming into this match without Mendy once again, while Sergio Aguero is still being listed as questionable to participate.

On the other hand, Manchester United (21-5-5) are coming into this match after a solid performance against Swansea last week, whom they defeated by 0-2 at home. Lukaku took the lead at just the 5th minute of that match, while Sanchez doubled United's lead at the 20th minute. Manchester United was dominant in that first half, but it was a dull second half between the two teams, as United eventually secured the three points in that 0-2 win. Prior to that, they had defeated Brighton by 0-2 at home, in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. They moved to the semi-finals of the competition, where they are matched against Tottenham. As far as the Premier League is concerned, Manchester United are still sitting at the 2nd spot with 68 points, and even though the title is almost lost, they will fight for the 2nd spot. They have Liverpool two points behind them (but with one more match), and Tottenham are sitting four points behind them. Manchester United will be making this trip with a couple of injury concerns, as Blind and Jones have been ruled out, while Romero is listed as questionable.
