They are the only of the 4 newly promoted teams to still remain undefeated, and what a season they are having so far. After taking a 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid on the road, they produced the surprise of the decade when they defeated Barcelona with 2-1, again on the road. They do have the fewest shot on target in the league (8), but they have played against the league's two best defenses in Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. However, Alaves have not defeated Valencia in their last 6 matches (0-4-2), also going score-less in 5 of them.
