The red-hot Golden State Warriors will host the Philadelphia 76ers Thursday night from Oracle Arena. You can watch the game on TNT, as tipoff is set for 9:30 p.m. The Warriors have rattled off 11-straight wins, and further cementing themselves as the no. 1 seed in the Western Conference with a 36-14 record. The 76ers hold a 33-18 record, which places them 4thin the Eastern Conference and a 6-4 record over their previous 10 games. The Warriors are 18-6 when playing at home this season, while the 76ers have gone just 12-13 on the road.

This winning streak from the Warriors is what should be expected from a team of this caliber. When you're already frontloaded with Curry, Thompson, Durant, and Green, getting a player like Demarcus Cousins back from injury never hurts. Golden State will enjoy three home games in a row following a five-game road trip. Their last game came against the Indiana Pacers, as Curry's game-high 26 points helped in a 132-100 victory. Cousins also contributed 22 points, as the Pacers were without star Victor Oladipo. While Stephen Curry (29.3 ppg) and Kevin Durant (27.7 ppg) do most of the scoring on offense, you've still got Klay Thompson (21.7 ppg). Thompson and Curry are obviously two of the greatest shooters of all time, and if they get hot, it's nearly impossible to beat them. Demarcus Cousins is still easing his way back from injury, but getting better and better each game. Then you can never forget about Draymond Green who has been forced to take a step back on this team but still contributes in all aspects of the game.

This is a Philadelphia team that matches up pretty well against the Warriors. With weapons like Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid and Jimmy Butler, this should be a pretty competitive matchup. The 76ers were able to take care of business on the road against the Lakers with a 121-105 win. Embiid led the way with 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists, as they'll play one more game on the road after the Warriors before returning home for four games. The matchup between Embiid (questionable with a back injury) and Cousins should be very interesting given the history of these two players. Cousins has a history of earning technical fouls and Embiid likes to get under opponent's skins. The big man backs it up averaging 27.2 ppg and 13.3 RPG. The 34-year-old JJ Redick is still playing terrific basketball averaging 18.4 ppg and shooting 38.4% from beyond the arc. He's a player that could keep them in this game if he gets hot from deep. That would then allow Embiid, Simmons, and Butler to drive the paint and do work down low.

76ers at Warriors Prediction 01/31/2019

It’s tough not to side with the Warriors, who have been hot since getting Cousins back. As great of a coach as Steve Kerr is, Brett Brown has made a name for himself as the 76ers head coach. This is a game we expect the Warriors to win, especially at home, but it should be a good basketball game with some of the best players in the game going head to head.
