Los Angeles Chargers at Pittsburgh Steelers Pick - Odds and ATS Predictions
Sunday Night Football in Week 13 should be a good one with the 8-3 Los Angeles Chargers squaring off against the 7-3-1 Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field. Game time on NBC for this key AFC tilt has been set for 8:20 p.m.
Los Angeles at Pittsburgh Overview
The Chargers bounced back from a tough one-point road loss to Denver as seven-point favorites in Week 11 with last Sunday’s 45-10 rout of Arizona as heavy 14-point favorites at home. They are just one game behind Kansas City for the lead in the AFC West. Los Angeles has been a solid bet on the road this season at 4-1 against the spread as part of an overall record of 6-5 against the closing number. The total has gone OVER in three of those five road games.
Philip Rivers was about as hot as it gets throwing the ball in last week's win with 25 completions in a row. He ended the day early in this lopsided win with 259 passing yards, and three touchdown throws after completing 28 of his 29 total attempts. The Chargers are averaging 273.2 passing yards a game while adding another 128.8 yards running the ball behind Melvin Gordon. It all adds up to an average of 27.9 points per game.

Pittsburgh was on a major roll heading into last Sunday's road game against Denver with a straight up six-game winning streak while going 5-0-1 ATS. Just like the Chargers, it got tripped up in Mile High as a three-point favorite with a 24-17 loss. The total stayed UNDER 47.5 points in that game, and it has stayed UNDER in four of its last six outings. The Steelers are 3-2 both SU and ATS at home this season.
Ben Roethlisberger is another veteran quarterback that has a heavy influence on his team’s fortunes on the field. He has thrown for 3,664 yards and 24 touchdowns this season against 12 interceptions while completing 66.1 percent of his 472 passing attempts. Antonio Brown remains his top target in the passing game, but JuJu Smith-Shuster leads the team in receptions (77) and receiving yards (1,055). Brown is still the money man on the scoreboard with 11 touchdown catches.

Chargers at Steelers Pick 12/02/2018
This should be a great matchup with two of the top quarterbacks in the league trying to top one another through the air. Each team also has the ability to run the ball which puts even more pressure on the defense to slow the other side down.
With so much offensive star power on the field at Heinz Stadium this Sunday night, I would have a strong lean towards the total going OVER, but my “best bet” pick is Los Angeles covering with the 3.5 points.
