Tulsa Golden Hurricane at South Florida Bulls Point Spread Pick - Odds - Free NCAAF Prediction
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane comes off a bye week this Thursday night to face the nationally ranked South Florida Bulls in a 7:30 p.m. prime time kickoff on ESPN from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay.
Tulsa at South Florida Game Overview
Following a 41-14 pasting by Memphis on Nov. 3 as a 14-point home underdog, Tulsa slid to 2-8 straight-up with a 4-6 record against the spread. The total stayed UNDER 80 points in that loss and it has stayed UNDER some hefty total lines in six of its last seven games. The Golden Hurricane are 3-4 ATS this season when closing as underdogs.
The one bright light in a rather dark and dismal season has been the play of running back D’Angelo Brewer with 1,099 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 220 carries. He gained 119 yards on 21 attempts his last time out. Tulsa is ranked 15th in the nation in rushing with an average of 248.7 yards a game while scoring 31.0 points per game. The big issue has been a defense that is allowing an average of 38 points a game.

South Florida is a game in back of Central Florida for the lead in the AAC’s East Division at 5-1 SU in conference play and it has to be careful not to look past this Thursday night’s matchup ahead of its regular-season finale on the road against the Knights on Nov. 24. The Bulls are 8-1 SU with a 4-5 record ATS. The total has stayed UNDER in four of their last six games. They are 3-2 ATS in five previous home games this year.
The shining star on South Florida’s offense has been quarterback Quinton Flowers as the ultimate duel threat. Two weeks ago in a 37-20 road win against Connecticut, he threw for 385 yards and three touchdowns while adding another 131 yards on the ground. He has now thrown for 1,955 yards and 15 touchdowns against four interceptions. Flowers is second on the team in rushing with 751 yards and nine touchdowns on 145 attempts.

Tulsa is not all that bad on the offensive side of the ball so it could make things interesting this Thursday night, but there is just too much on the line for the Bulls to take this game too lightly. I actually thought the betting line would have opened a few points higher, so I am going to quickly lay the 23 points with a ‘best bet’ that South Florida takes care of business at home both SU and ATS.
