Creighton Bluejays vs. Providence Friars Point Spread Pick
Point spread: Creighton -6
The No. 20 Creighton Bluejays will put their current 10-game winning streak on the line against the Providence Friars this Saturday night when these two Big East foes battle it out in the Duncan Donuts Center. Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m. (ET) and the game will broadcast nationally on FOX Sports 1.
Creighton vs. Providence Game Overview
Creighton continues to work its way back up the rankings with 10 straight-up victories that includes a perfect 5-0 SU start in conference play. The Bluejays have been extremely profitable to wager on during this run with a 9-1 record against the spread. The only game they failed to cover in was a 95-89 win over Marquette on Jan. 14 as 8.5-point home favorites, but they hammered Butler this past Tuesday by 28 points as 10-point home favorites. The other eight victories were all by double digits and the total has gone OVER in three of their last four games.
One of the main reasons for this dominating run has been the elevated play of senior forward Doug McDermott. He is averaging 25.2 points a game while shooting 49.5 percent from the field and 43.4 percent from 3-point range. He also leads the team in rebounds (7.2) and he is converting on 89.6 percent of his shots from the foul line. The Bluejays, as a whole, are averaging 83 points a game while shooting 49.1 percent from the floor. They are ranked first in the nation in assists with 19.1, but team leader Grant Gibbs (4.1) remains out of the lineup with dislocated knee.
The Friars are coming off a tight 84-83 victory over St. John's this past Thursday night in double overtime as four-point road underdogs. The win pushed their overall record to 12-5 SU and they evened their mark in the Big East to 2-2. They have covered in three of their last five games to improve to 7-9 ATS. The total went OVER the 133.5-point closing line against the Red Storm and it has now gone OVER in five of their last eight games.
Bryce Cotton came up huge in Thursday's win with a team-high 21 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. He leads the team in scoring this season with 20.2 points a game, but he has struggled with consistency when it comes to shooting the ball. The Friars have three other players scoring in double figures as a big part of their 71.8 point scoring average. Providence is shooting just 41.3 percent from the field, which is ranked near the bottom of Division I and it is hitting 32.5 percent of its shots from beyond the arc.

Houston at Louisville Spread Pick
Creighton comes into this matchup well rested and in top form. There is little reason to believe that the Friars will be able to slow things down especially playing on just two days' rest after an exhausting win. Tack on another double digit victory for the Bluejays as they easily cover the current six-point spread on the road.
