BC at Virginia Betting Overview
Boston College comes into this game off a nice 71-68 home win over NC State, where they jumped out to a seven-point lead at the half and held on for the victory. The win was their third in five games with all three decided by four or fewer points. Against the spread, the Eagles have been a solid bet going 9-6 versus the number and an impressive 6-2 ATS over their last eight.
Virginia is fresh off a 64-62 solid road win over UNC, getting the "W" and the point spread cover. The cover was the first in four games for the Cavs and only the second in their past seven games. IN ACC play this season, Virginia is 9-5 overall, including 5-2 at home but are just 3-4 as a host in conference games.

Head to Head
This game will be the second meeting of the campaign. In the earlier meeting at the Conte Forum, Boston College shocked Virginia with 60-53 victory as a +10.5 point dog. The 113 combined points surpassed the closing 111 total line for back to back “Overs” in this series after three consecutive “Unders”.
Joe Public has taken a liking to road dog in this spot with Boston College garnering approximately 57% percent of the point spread wagers. Note that this game opened at some of the betting shops with the line of Virginia -10.5, suggesting that the sharp action may be on the host. The total has been close to eve, with 52% of the wagers coming in on the "Over".
Boston College: Starting guard Jared Hamilton has missed the last two games with an ankle injury and is listed as questionable for tonight’s game. Reserve guard Chris Herren Jr. is also questionable with an illness.
Virginia: No new injury concerns.

Boston College at Virginia Prediction 2/19/20
The Eagles have been by far the more profitable team against the spread, and the 11.5 may look appetizing, but there are some games that would suggest that the line may be an underlay. Boston College was blown out in their last road contest by 27 points in Miami and has also been easily dispatched by Wake Forest 82-60 and Syracuse 76-50 in the visitor role. In the previous meeting, the Eagles shot well over their seasonal average hitting 45% from the field, putting up 60 points. That's very unlikely to happen tonight against a Cavs team that allows 48.4 points at home. Look for this game to play out the opposite way of the earlier meeting. Virginia sneaks by the number getting the cover while Boston College scores fewer than 50 sending the total “Under”.
