Reasons To Avoid San Antonio:
Despite their playoff caliber, the Spurs have had a lot of struggles on the road this season. On the year, the Spurs are 14-25 SU away from San Antonio. Moreover, San Antonio is outscored by a margin of 4.7 points per game on average when they are on the road. Nevertheless, given the fact Washington’s season is over many are querying as to whether or not the Wizards will show up for this contest. However, the team that should be under the microscope is San Antonio who has lost to the likes of New York as a road favorite earlier this season.
Reasons To Back Washington:
The Wizards will be subjected to an overreaction as a result of their loss to Chicago. However, this overreaction will not put us in position to be laying more points that we should or taking back a smaller number than appropriate. Instead, we are on the favorable end of this equation and likely taking back more points than necessary. After all, the loss on paper for the Wizards looks really poor considering who it came against. The fact remains however that Washington in one game has undergone a 16.5-point swing from a heavy favorite to a mid-range dog. When you factor in the narrative that the Wizards still outscore the opposition on average by 2.5 points per contest at home, there is value here on the Wizards.

Spurs at Wizards Prediction 4/5/19
It is hard to justify backing a team that is coming in off an 85-point performance with a dubious track record on the road all season long. I wouldn’t be shocked if the Wizards gave the Spurs a good scare here. Take the points.
