Pacers vs. Raptors Game Overview
Earlier this season it appeared that Indiana was a lock to secure the top seed for the playoffs in the Eastern Conference, but a late season slide has the Pacers locked into a dead heat with Miami for that much coveted home court advantage. Speaking of much needed, they are coming off a 101-94 victory over Pistons this past Wednesday, but they still could not cover the closing 10.5-point spread. Indiana has just three straight-up wins in its last nine games and going all the way back to late February it is a dismal 2-18 against the spread in its last 20 outings. The total went OVER the 190.5 closing line against the Pistons after staying UNDER in its previous nine games.
Scoring has been a major issue for the Pacers down the stretch. The 101 points they put up on Wednesday night was the first time they crossed the century mark in their last 10 games. Overall, they are ranked 24th in the NBA with an average of 96.8 points per game. Indiana is still ranked first in the league in points allowed (91.8) which continues to keep it competitive during this slide.

Toronto has already clinched a spot in the postseason with an overall SU record of 43-32, but it is still in a heated battle with the red-hot Brooklyn Nets for the Atlantic Division crown. Through Wednesdays games the Raptors’ lead stands at 2.5 games after posting four SU wins in their last five games. They are 3-2 ATS during this run and the total has stayed UNDER in three of the five games.
The Raptors are another team that has had their issues putting points on the board, but they are coming off an impressive 107-103 victory over Houston this past Wednesday as two-point home favorites. It was just the second time in their last seven games that they scored more than 100 points. Kyle Lowery missed the game against the Rockets and he has been downgraded to doubtful for Friday night with a knee injury. Amir Johnson is also nicked-up with a sore ankle and he remains questionable as well.

Head-to-head in this matchup, Indiana is 7-18 ATS in their last 25 trips to Toronto and the total has stayed UNDER in five of the last six meetings at the Air Canada Centre. The home team has won all three meetings this season SU and Toronto is 3-0 ATS. The total stayed UNDER in all three games.

Over/Under Pick
Toronto’s injury situation will have an impact on the actual betting odds for this game, but no matter what the final betting line turns out to be, I have absolutely no confidence in Indiana either SU or ATS. What I do love in this matchup is the UNDER on the total line no matter how low it is set.
