Kevin Harvick added another victory to his already impressive 2018 Cup Series resume with a win last Saturday night at Charlotte in NASCAR's All-Star Race. Daniel Suarez finished second at long odds, and Joey Logano rounded out the top three. Denny Hamlin almost paid off as my +1400 top-valued pick with a fourth-place run in that race.

The following is a look at a trio of the top favorites to win Sunday night’s race at Charlotte along with my top-valued pick at longer odds as provided by 5Dimes</a>

Kevin Harvick +180

It is going to be hard to keep Harvick out of the top spot on 5Dimes' NASCAR betting board each week given the season he is having with the No. 4 Ford. Heading into last week's exhibition race at Charlotte, he had already won five of the first 12 point races on the schedule. This team is third in the current Cup Series standings with a total of 484 points, but it is all about making trips to Victory Lane when it comes to winning racing titles. Going back to the 2011 racing season, Harvick has won three Cup Series events at Charlotte as part of an impressive run that includes 12 finishes inside the top 10 (seven in the top five) in his last 14 trips around this oval.

Kyle Busch +450

As the only other Cup Series driver with multiple victories this season, Busch has his No. 18 Toyota racing team at the top of the standings with 503 total points. His last checkered flag came at Richmond to cap off a run of three wins in a row. He has cooled off since then with three-straight runs outside the top five, but there is still some substantial value in his odds to win this race given an average finishing position of 8.5 through the first 12 races of the year. Busch also adds value with a second-place finish in this Sunday's race in 2017. However, he is still searching for his first career victory at Charlotte in a point-race event.

Martin Truex Jr. +550

The defending Cup Series Champ is starting to heat up again with a fourth-place finish at Dover followed by a second-place run at Kansas leading up to last week’s All-Star Race. Truex did guide the No. 78 Toyota to the Winner’s Circle at Fontana earlier in the season and this team is holding down eighth place in the current standings with 376 points. He adds some serious value to this week’s odds with a pair of victories at Charlotte over the past two seasons, including one in this race in 2016 and one in the second race here last year.

Coca Cola 600 Race Prediction 05/26/2018

I went with Hamlin in the All-Star Race at longer odds, and he finished inside the top 5. I love the value in his odds for Sunday's race at Charlotte in light of that run as well as his current racing form behind the wheel of the No. 11 Toyota. This is a veteran driver that knows how to win some of the biggest races on NASCAR's Cup Series circuit. He is still looking for his first victory this season, but he has come close with five runs inside the top five. I also think this team is moving in the right direction coming off a fifth-place run at Kansas. Hamlin is another veteran driver looking for his first Cup Series win at Charlotte after placing fifth or better in four of his last five tries.
