The Red Sox had won two straight before their loss to the Brewers in Game 1 of this series and they lineup has been solid as of late totaling 35 runs in their last three games. They are a only a slight road betting underdog in this game even though they are going with Kendrick, who last start was his first in the Majors since the 2015 season and it was not a good one. The Brewers have won two in a row and they have scored 17 runs in those games. Eric Thames hit his 13th HR in Game 1 of this series and he ranks tied for first in the Majors in HR. Milwaukee lineup may need to put up several runs to back Anderson, who has given up four earned runs in each of his last two starts. They will do just that tonight lighting up Kendrick and in another high scoring affair the Brewers will win.

The Twins have lost two in a row where their pitching was not very good to say the least giving up a total of 28 runs. While they are only one game over .500 they are only one game back of the Cleveland Indians in the AL Central with the White Sox 1.5 games back. Chicago is back home after getting swept on the road by the Baltimore Orioles in their last series where they were outscored 14-7. Their pitching has been great this season, but they have had issues crossing the plate. Pelfry is still looking for his first win with his new club in the White Sox, but he will not get it in this game. He will have another subpar outing while Santiago will have a good one and Minnesota will take the first game of this division series. 

The Giants are reeling losing four in a row and they are tied with the Atlanta Braves and Kansas City Royals for the fewest wins in the Majors. They have struggled on the mound and at the plate this season and in their current four-game skid they have been outscored 35-8. Still, even with all of these things against San Francisco they are the pick in this NL match up. Samardzija is coming off a great last start and he will tame the bats of New York even though they have totaled 23 wins in winning three of their last four games. San Francisco will win this game behind a strong showing from Samardzija and they will snap their four-game losing streak.

The Rangers have lost two straight games where their lineup has struggled only totaling five runs. They sit in the bottom of the AL West eight games back of the Houston Astros. However, they have won seven of their last 10 interleague games and four of their last five interleague games on the road. Still, even with the lack of offense from the Padres all season they will take this game with Martinez going for Texas. Sure, San Diego has dropped four in a row where they only totaled nine runs, but they won Cahill’s last start where they gave him six runs of support. This game will mirror that game, as Cahill will have a good outing and get help from the Padres lineup. San Diego will win the first game of this series and snap their four-game losing streak.

This is a rematch of last season ALCS where the Indians won the series giving them the AL Pennant. The Indians have won two in a row and three of their last four games and they are in first place in the AL Central 1.5 games up on the Minnesota Twins. In winning lately they have their pitching to thank, as in their last four games they have only given up six runs, but also only have scored eight runs. The Blue Jays have won two of their last three games, but they are still in the basement of the AL East 10 games back of the New York Yankees and they have the 2nd fewest wins in the Majors. Stroman is not coming off a good start and Toronto has lost four of his last five starts. The Tribe have not lit up the scoreboard lately, but even north of the border their bats will wake up in this game getting to Stroman and they will win the first game of this series.

The Yankees are red hot winners of four in a row where they have outscored their opponents 33-19. They have won the first two games of this series and go for the sweep tonight. However, they face Lester, who has been up and down on the season, but very solid at home. Chicago has won six of Lester’s last seven interleague starts and look for that trend to continue. Severino was shelled in his last start and the Cubs, who have scored eight runs in the two losses in this series, will tag him up at home tonight. Lester will have another good home outing, he will get a lot of run support, and the Cubs will get the win and avoid the series sweep.

The Indians have won two of their last three games and have split the two games in this series. They are in first place in the AL Central and have a six game lead over the Royals, who are in the basement of the division. Kansas City has lost three of their last five games and they have the lowest scoring team in the Majors. On top of that their starter for today in Danny Duffy has been shelled in his last two starts. He has not faced Cleveland this season and they will not give him a good greeting. Clevinger will have a solid season debut for the big club and with the Tribe’s lineup getting to Duffy the Indians will get the win and also win the series.

The Nationals have won three in a row and four of their last five games and are tied with the Houston Astros for the most wins in the Majors. They have the biggest division lead 6.5 games up on the Mets, with the Phillies 7.5 games back, and they have the most road wins in the bigs. While the Nationals pitching has had their issues on the season they have only given up five runs in their three game win streak. The Phillies are in the midst of a four-game losing streak where they have struggled at the plate only totaling 13 runs. However, they are the pick in this game, as Velasquez will have a good start. He has two solid starts in a row and he will get some help from the lineup facing Cole, who was not pitching well in the minors before being called up. Philadelphia will take this game, snap their losing streak, and even the series at a game apiece.

The Tigers had their three-game win streak snapped in their last game and even only one game over .500 they are just one game out of first place in the AL Central. While they rank dead last in the Majors in team ERA their pitching has been solid as of late giving up a total of nine runs in their last four games. Fulmer has been pretty steady this season and he will have a decent outing facing an Oakland lineup that ranks 2nd to last in the Majors in runs scored. However, the A’s will win this game behind a strong start from Triggs, who has not given up an earned run in four of his five starts this season including his last one. Oakland will take the first game of this AL series and send the Tigers to .500.

The Marlins had lost the first two games of this series before winning yesterday. They have lost six of their last eight games and are 5.5 games back of the Washington Nationals in the NL East. The Rays fell to under .500 with their loss to the Marlins yesterday and they are 4.5 games back of the New York Yankees in the AL East. Andriese has given up three earned runs in each of his last two starts where he was only given five runs of support. He has pitched pretty well in his last two home starts and he will have a good outing in this game facing a Miami lineup that had only totaled three runs before scoring 10 in Game 3 of this series. The Rays won the first two games of this series with solid pitching and Andriese will make that happen again, as he will lead Tampa Bay to a win and they will take the series.

These teams have split the two games in this series and the Rockies had lost two in a row before winning yesterday. They only totaled two runs in losing two straight before blowing up for 11 runs in yesterday’s game. Colorado is in first place in the NL West and they have a 5.5 game lead over San Diego. The Padres had their 3-game win streak snapped in their last game and in this game they have Perdomo on the hill and he has struggled this season. On the other side of the coin Freeland has been solid and in two of his last three starts he has only given up one earned run. He will have a good outing today and just like Game 2 the Rockies’ lineup will light up the scoreboard. Colorado will win this game and take the series in the process.

The Angels have won two in a row and six of their last seven games and they have beaten the Mariners in all four games this season. Their pitching has been solid as of late and they have climbed to 2ndplace in the AL West. While they are hot and the Mariners have dropped three straight games Seattle is still the pick in this game. Iwakuma had a great start against L.A. early in the season and he will have another good outing tonight. Seattle has scored 11 runs in their three-game skid, but their offense will get back on track and chase Nalasco early. This will not be a low scoring affair and the Mariners’ lineup will be the main reason the club wins and ends their losing streak and gets their first win against L.A. this season.

The Blue Jays had their three-game win streak snapped with their loss to the Yankees yesterday and they have the 2nd fewest wins in the Majors. Their pitching had been superb in the three-game win streak only allowing one run in each game before giving up 11 in yesterday’s game. Stroman has been pitching well as of late and will face a Yankees’ lineup that has scored at least 11 runs in three of their last five games. New York had lost two straight before winning Game 2 of this series and they are tied with the Baltimore Orioles atop the AL East. Sabathia has been far from sharp in his last two starts and has really struggled against the Blue Jays in his last several starts facing them. Look for that to continue in this game and for Stroman to have another solid outing and the Blue Jays will win this game and take the series.

The Rangers have lost two in a row and four of their last five games and they are in the basement of the AL West six games back of the first place Astros. In their three losses in their last four games they have only totaled seven runs. Hamels has been pretty solid as of late, but the Texas bullpen has been sketchy this season and that is a major concern. However, he will have a good outing in this game and get some run support. Even though Texas has not been doing much at the dish as of late they will get some runs off Fiers, who has not been pitching well lately. The Rangers will take this game and snap Houston’s two-game win streak in the process.

The Diamondbacks snapped their two-game losing streak in their last game and they are only ½ game out of first place in the NL West. Their lineup has been solid on the season, but in their last three games they have only totaled nine runs with six coming in one game. Walker is coming off a good start, but he has his work cut out for him facing a Nationals team that is the highest scoring team in the Majors and is coming off a game where they scored 23 runs. The Washington lineup is loaded and Bryce Harper set a MLB record with 32 runs scored in the month of April and Ryan Zimmerman is 11for 18 with four HR and 11RBI in his last four games. Roark has been decent on the season, but has gotten a lot of support and that will happen in this game. The Nationals offense will light up the scoreboard again and they will take the first game of this series.

The Mets were not only embarrassed in their last game, but Ace Noah Syndergaard was hammered and left the game early with an injury. New York had won two in a row previous to that loss, but those were their only wins in their last nine games. They are in the basement of the NL East ½ game back of the Braves. Atlanta had their four-game winning streak snapped in their last game only scoring three runs while in the four-game streak they totaled 36 runs. Teheran has pitched very well in the two starts facing the Mets and has done so for the whole season with the exception of one start. He will have another good outing and just time the last time facing New York and Gsellman the Atlanta lineup will get it done at the dish and the Braves will take the first game of this series.

The Orioles had lost two in a row where their pitching was hammered giving up 26 runs before giving up four in their last win. They are tied with the Yankees atop the AL East with the Red Sox 2.5 games back. Porcello won 20 games last season, but only has one win this season and while he has pitched very well in his last couple of outings he has gotten little run support. On the other side of the coin Bundy has also been solid as of late and in his last three starts the Orioles have combined to score 18 runs. The Boston offense has struggled on the season, but in taking two of three from the defending champion Cubs in their last series they totaled 15 runs. Porcello will finally get some run support tonight and while it will not be much he will not need it having another quality start and lead the Red Sox to a win.

The White Sox are red-hot winners of six straight games and they go for the series sweep against the Tigers today. They have outscored their opponents 46-17 in their six-game streak and have outscored the Tigers 13-7 in the two games of this series. They are getting it done on the plate and on the mound and have Gonzalez on the hill today and he has been great in his last two outings. On the other since of the coin Zimmerman has been shelled in three straight starts. Detroit has lost four in a row and with the loss to the White Sox yesterday fell below .500 on the season. Chicago will keep rolling, as they will win behind another solid start from Gonzalez and complete the sweep in this division series.

The Pirates have won two in a row and while their offense has been the big issue for the sub .500 club on the season they have totaled 18 runs in the last two games. Nova has been solid this season, but has not received much support from the lineup. He has a little bit of an advantage in this game, as many of the Marlins have never faced him. Straily has also pitched well on the season, but unlike Nova he is very familiar with the Pittsburgh lineup facing them six times last season with the Reds. Two things will continue in this game, as the Pirates will score some runs and Nova will have another good outing. Add those things up and you get a Pittsburgh win in the Sunshine State tonight.

The Braves have won three in a row after dropping six straight and in their streak their offense has been on fore combining for 25 runs in the three wins. They are still only ½ game out of the basement in the NL East and are six games back of the Washington Nationals. Garcia has been pretty solid as of late and the lefty will have a good outing in this game. This game is a tough call, as Nelson has struggled, but the Brewers have won 16 of their last 21 games facing left-handed starters. However, that trend will not continue. Garcia will pitch well and the Braves’ offense will get it done again facing Nelson and Atlanta will take Game 2 of this series and go for the sweep in this series tomorrow.
