Tiger Woods

Divorce Settlement Odds

Is Tiger Woods twice as popular, twice as well-known and twice as rich as Michael Jordan?

Clearly he had more than twice as many mistresses and there is talk that Tiger’s wife Elin will drive away with $300 million or more in a divorce settlement.

If true, that would be twice what Jordan – Nike’s other marquee client of the past quarter century - paid his ex-wife. And it would surely rank as one of the biggest divorce settlements in history.

$300 million buys a lot of lap dances and that’s the over-under set by one sportsbook in its Tiger Woods divorce settlement props section.

“Numerous sites are reporting the couple had a $300 million pre-nup and others are now reporting that they are re-negotiating those terms," said Richard Gardner, who posted divorce settlement odds Thursday at bodog.

“It sounds like Elin is pushing for more, but will it make sense for her to just take the money and drive off down the fairway?”

To a degree, this is like a poker hand. Elin has the winning hand but you don’t want to come across as the bully, as it might sully her currently pristine reputation, said Sportsbettingstats.com poker aficionado Rich Crew.

“When you have the pot won, you don’t want to get greedy. You should just move on to the next hand.”
