Super Bowl 38 Game Recap

Adam Vinatieri kicked another last-second Super Bowl kick and Janet Jackson showed her boob.

We're not sure which play generated the most lasting impression.

Vinatieri booted a 41-yarder with four seconds left as New England beat Carolina 32-29 in Super Bowl XXXVIII.

It was the second Super Bowl for the patriots in three seasons and they would be back again next season to win a third.

The game was scoreless until three minutes before halftime, much to the chagrin of OVER bettors. But once the scoring started, there was no slowing down.

The teams combined for 868 and for 37 points in the fourth quarter, both Super Bowl records.

Vinatieri had missed a field goal early in the game and had another blocked, but he came through when it mattered.

New England led 14-10 at the half, after Tom Brady hit Deion Branch and David Givens with scoring passes. And the Pats extended the lead in the fourth quarter on Antowain Smith's 2-yard touchdown run.

Jake Delhomme led two scoring drives in the fourth and completed the rally with a strike to Ricky Proehl with 1:08 remaining. It was tied 29-29, but Brady, who was named Super Bowl XXXVIII MVP, fired a 17-yard pass to Branch to set up the winning kick.

Brady completed 32 of 48 passes for 354 yards and 3 touchdowns. Branch had 10 catches for 143 yards Muhsin Muhammad had 4 catches for 140 yards for the underdog Panthers.

Final Score: 32-29
Winning Side Bet: Carolina +7
Winning Total Bet: Over 37.5
