Super Bowl 32 Game Recap

Terrell Davis had a migraine and could barely play in Super Bowl XXXII.

What a monster headache he was for favored Green Bay when he was on the field, though.

Davis ran for 157 yards and scored three touchdowns to lead Denver to a 31-24 upset of Green Bay, ending a run of 13 straight Super Bowl victories for the NFC.

The defending champion Packers went 76 yards on their opening drive in telling the world they were serious about repeating. But John Elway and the Broncos answered right back to tie it.

After a Favre interception and a Favre fumble, the Broncos punched in a touchdown and a 51-yard field goal from Jason Elam to lead 17-7. But the Packers showed championship pedigree in marching 95 yards in nearly eight minutes, with Favre hitting Mark Chmura for the score just before halftime.

Punts and turnovers littered the third quarter before Favre led the Packers to the endzone again. Elway answered back again and it was 24-24.

Then Davis, who was named Super Bowl XXXII MVP, took over, running for first downs and punching in a score with less than two minutes remaining.

Favre had one last chance and moved the chains quickly with a pass of screen passes to running back Dorsey Levens. But the Broncos knocked away a final Favre-to-Chmura pass with a half minute to go, sealing the Bronco win as 11-point underdogs.

Elway went just 12-for-22 and 123 yards, as the Broncos relied on Davis.

Final Score: 31-24
Winning Side Bet: Denver +11
