Super Bowl 14 Game Recap
It was suggested that Terry Bradshaw should have to throw left-handed.
Or that the Rams should be allowed to have 12 men on the field, just to make Super Bowl XIV a bit fair.
Pittsburgh was favored huge to win its fourth Super Bowl and it cam through with a big second half to cover the 10.5-point spread and beat the Los Angeles Rams 31-19 in Super Bowl XIV.
Bradshaw completed 14 of 21 passes for 309 yards and overcame three interceptions by the Rams. He guided the Steelers ahead in the third quarter after a weak first half left the AFC champs trailing 13-10.
He hit Lynn Swann for a 47-yard score 2:48 into the third quarter, but Rams QB Vince Ferragamo responded with a scoring drive highlighted by a 50-yard pass to Billy Waddy.
Then, Bradshaw and John Stallworth hooked up twice on long passes that effectively ended Super Bowl XIV. The Super Bowl XIV MVP hit Stallworth for a 73-yard scoring pass that put the Steelers ahead to stay 24-19.
Franco Harris scored on a run later on the heels of a 45-yard strike from Bradshaw to Stallworth. In all, the lead changed seven times in the game.
Return man Larry Anderson was credited with giving the Steelers great field position during the game as he returned five kickoffs for 162 yards.
