Bradshaw went for the throat right away, firing an 18-yard pass to Lynn Swann to boost the Steelers' lead to 35-17 with 6:51 to play. To their credit, the Cowboys refused to die. Roger Staubach hit Billy Joe DuPree for a 7-yard scoring pass with two minutes left, then took them for another score after recovering an onside kick to make it 35-31 - the precise score the sportsbooks in Las Vegas were dreading. Bleier fell on the subsequent onside kick attempt to preserve the Super Bowl XIII win for the Steelers.
