As we continue to grind our way towards a much anticipated start of another college football season we also continue to break down the futures odds for all the major conferences in terms of some of the favorites' chances to win this year's title. To close-out this series we will dig into the numbers for top Major of them all, the SEC

The following is a brief preview of a few of the top contenders to win the SEC this season based on odds provided by 5Dimes.eu. We have also listed the current odds for all the teams in the conference that did not make the list.

Alabama Crimson Tide

• Odds to win the SEC West Division -150
• Odds to win the SEC Championship +150
• Odds to win a BCS Championship +315

Alabama will be going for its fourth BCS title in five years and the last one in the BCS series with a four-team playoff going into effect for the 2014 season. This dominant program is a big part of a seven-year run in which a team from the SEC has claimed the national title. The only blip on last year's screen was a stunning 29-24 loss to Texas A&M at home that ruined a perfect season. Over the course of this amazing four-year run, the Tide have lost a total of five conference games with three of the losses coming in the 2010 season.

What makes Alabama such an overwhelming favorite to win the SEC in 2013 is the fact they will have eight starters back on offense including quarterback AJ McCarron to complement a defense that returns eight starters from a unit that led the nation in points allowed by giving-up an average of just 10.9 points a game.

Georgia Bulldogs

• Odds to win the SEC East Division +160
• Odds to win the SEC Championship +400
• Odds to win a BCS Championship +2500

Georgia has been positioned as the top contender to the conference title from the East Division. It came close to toppling the Tide from their lofty perch in last season's SEC Championship Game in a tough 32-28 loss. The Bulldogs pounded Nebraska 45-31 in the Capital One Bowl to finish 12-2 on the year.

This is another team whose offense remains basically intact from last season. Led by quarterback Aaron Murray, Georgia showed tremendous balance with an average of 285.1 passing and 182.6 yards rushing a game last year. It also had a shutdown defense that held opponents to just 19.6 points a game, but there will be some holes to fill with just five starters back from that squad.

South Carolina Gamecocks

• Odds to win a BCS Championship + +3000

South Carolina was in prime position the claim the SEC East title last season after beating Georgia 35-7 at home in early October, but back-to-back losses to LSU and Florida on the road the next two weeks derailed its chances. The end result was a 6-2 record in conference play and an overall record of 11-2.

The Gamecocks will know exactly where they stand even earlier this season with a Sept. 7 road game against the Bulldogs. They head into the season with a number of holes to fill on both sides of the ball with just seven starters back on offense and five back on defense. Conner Shaw will once again be the team's starting quarterback and the defense will be anchored by All-American defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, who could very well be the No.1 pick in next year's NFL draft.

Texas A&M Aggies

• Odds to win the SEC West Division +390
• Odds to win the SEC Championship +850
• Odds to win a BCS Championship +1400

You cannot talk about Texas A&M without talking about Mr. Football Johnny Manzeil. His meteoric rise as a freshman quarterback to last season's Heisman Trophy has already become the stuff of legend. He led the Aggies to an 11-2 record overall and an impressive 6-2 record in their first season in the SEC after coming over from the Big 12.

The pressure is sure to be dialed-up on Manzeil from Day 1, but if he can duplicate his 2012 performance which included 3,706 passing yards and 26 touchdown throws as well as 1,409 yards and 21 more scores on the ground, Texas A&M could easily play the role of spoiler again this year. The Aggies will have some work to do on defense with just six starters back from last year's team.

The rest of the SEC Conference

The odds to win the SEC for the remainder of the teams in the West Division start with LSU at +1250, Mississippi at +1500 and Mississippi State, Auburn and Arkansas at +9000.

Looking at the rest of the East Division those team's odds to win the SEC have Florida at +950, Vanderbilt at +1700, Missouri at +4500, Tennessee at +6000 and Kentucky at +15000.
