2015 National Champion Odds - Men's NCAA Basketball

David Schwab

We've been through the "play in" games in the opening round with Dayton, Hampton, RMU and Ole Miss emerging victoriously to earn a spot in the final field of 64. In the second round we witnessed not one but two No. 14 seeds pull off upsets to and kill future bets on the No. 3 seeds Iowa State and Baylor. The round of 32 saw more top seeds drop with the biggest being Villanova, the No. 1 seed from the East getting upset by NC. State. Two No. 2 seeds had their tournament chances end when Kansas was upset by Wichita State and Virginia was beaten by the wise guys' dark horse team Michigan State. So here we go into the Sweet 16 with a new set of future odds to win the 2015 NCAA tournament and betting lines to win each region.

Odds to Win the 2015 NCAA Championship

No surprise here seeing Kentucky as the favorite to win the title, but even money heading into the round of 16 might be considered overvalued. For those not playing the Wildcats there is exceptional value on anyone on a number of key contenders with Arizona who at this point is the logical top team to put an end to Kentucky's winning streak with a possible Final Four meeting. Don't count out Michigan State at 14-1 either who may have on paper the easiest road to the Final Four if not the Championship Game.

Preseason NCAA Championship Odds

It has barely been a month since the final buzzer went off in the 2014 college basketball championship game between the Kentucky Wildcats and the Connecticut Huskies. The UConn Huskies were the 2014 NCAA title winners with a 60-54 win on April 7th. Bookie 5Dimes expects a lot to change in the 2014/2015 season especially with Connecticut who they have listed as 65-1 The Huskies' star point guard Shabazz Napier will enter this year's NBA draft and is projected to be a late 1st or 2nd round pick. It's a different story for Kentucky who is expected to keep part of its core of young players with the Harrison twins staying for at least one more season. They will have to find a replacement for forward 'Mr. Double Double' Julius Randle, but the lines maker thinks that won't be an issue making the Wildcats the early 4-1 preseason favorite.
