<h2>
Winnipeg Blue Bombers<br />
</h2>
<p>
The Bombers are confident going into this matchup 2-0 SU and ATS after their defense held up against Edmonton's very capable O last week limiting the Eskie’s to just 21 points on 7 field goals. The Bomber offense put up 28 points of their own which was enough to win and cover.

<h2>
Ottawa RedBlacks<br />
</h2>
<p>
Ottawa is feeling pretty good about themselves as well coming off a convincing 44-41 home victory over the Saskatchewan Rough Riders who trailed by more than two majors most of the game and had to put up eight points in garbage time just to make the score look close.

<p>
This is the first meeting between the clubs in 2019. The bombers have owned the Redblacks SU in recent history going 4-1 in the last five encounters and winning the ATS battle as well with a record of 6-4 over the previous ten. These teams have been able to score points recently and presently with the total reaching sixty or more the last two meetings and the total going OVER 6-4 in the previous 10.

<p>
New starting QB D. Davis has been hard to stop so far this year as the Ottawa offense is averaging 38 points per game and that was against the defending Grey Cup champions as well as the Saskatchewan Rough Riders who were predicted to have the top defense in the league this year. Davis will be fired up for sure after being released by the Bombers last year and will be out to prove they made a big mistake. Edmonton couldn't score in the red zone last week, but Davis is a lot more mobile of a QB than T. Harris and should be able to put the Bomber D in a bind down at the goal line. The Ottawa defense has not been lights out, but they bailed out their QB in week 1 when he threw four picks in the Grey Cup rematch against Calgary, so you know they got his back.
</p>
<p>
This is a Grey Cup or bust year for the Bombers, and they'll be throwing everything they got into every game trying to secure the number one spot in the West which they currently hold on to. Their Offense is rolling again averaging 30 points per game thanks to their ability to run the ball with Andrew Harris out of the backfield. The Bombers also have a passing attack that doesn't put up big numbers but can score quickly as they showed last week if you fall asleep on it. Finally, the Defense in Winnipeg looks like they can make a stop when they need to which has been the Bombers Achilles heel for some time now.
</p>
<p>
I don’t expect them to go another game without giving up a major, but I do expect them to outplay Ottawa’s D as well as take the ball away from D. Davis at least once if not twice.

<h2>
Injury Report<br />
</h2>
<p>
There are no injuries of note heading into Friday night, but the weather will be hot and humid into the evening, and the players can expect to play in conditions that feel close to 100 degrees F or more. There is a potential for severe thunderstorms which could delay the game for long periods giving the home team a slight advantage in that event.

Blue Bombers at RedBlacks Prediction 07/05/2019

Everyone knows how important winning the turnover battle is in football and hard it is to win outright when you give the ball away. Ottawa has been beating that trend lately, but it can't go on forever. The numbers catch up to them this week, and Bombers punish them for being careless with the rock. I like the Bombers SU and ATS, but my best bet is actually the OVER on the 54 total, both of these teams can score and it looks like the Bomber defense has been slightly overrated this week based on last week's performance. This game is likely to be a shoot out, not a defensive grind. Hammer the over.
