Philadelphia (9-4, 6-7 ATS) escaped Dallas with a 30-27 win last week, improving the club to 5-1 in its last six games. Success has been a little harder to come by against the spread, though; the Eagles failed to cover as five-point favorites in Big D, dropping them to 1-2 ATS in their last three games.

The offense remains the most explosive in the NFL. Perhaps not the best, but certainly the most explosive. DeSean Jackson proved that on Sunday be catching just four passes for 210 yards and a touchdown; yes, Jackson averaged half a football field per catch. With so much attention on Jackson and Michael Vick, LeSean McCoy continues making defenses pay. He racked up 149 yards on just 16 carries against the Cowboys.

This isn't a flawless team, however-the defense has made sure of that. The Eagles have allowed 27 points per game over their last three contests. There's no single glaring problem to be found, though; Philly is pretty average at stopping both run and pass. Ultimately, the "D" just needs to squeeze out an extra stop or two per game to be substantially more successful.

The Giants (9-4, 7-6 ATS) have rattled off three straight wins after topping Minnesota 21-3 in last week's bizarre, snowed-out game in Detroit. New York has also covered back-to-back contests.

New York has been especially impressive on defense over the last two weeks, allowing just 10 total points to the Vikings and Redskins. The Giants rank second in total defense, second in pass defense and fifth in rush defense. Perhaps most importantly, they did a great job containing Vick when the teams met earlier this season. New York consistently flushed Vick to his right, forcing the lefty to scramble rather than make throws downfield. The G-Men will likely employ a similar strategy this time around.

Eli Manning is struggling with turnovers right now. He's coughed up the ball seven times in his past four starts. Obviously, if that doesn't stop, the Giants are going to get bit hard at some point. It won't get any easier with Steve Smith gone; he was shut down for th season on Wednesday. Luckily, the running game is firing on all cylinders. New York is averaging 181 rush yards over its last three games.

The Eagles are 7-3 (6-4 ATS) in their past 10 games against the Giants, including a 27-17 win in late November. It was Philly's fifth straight win over New York; the Eagles are 5-0 ATS in that span. The total went under earlier this season after going over both times in 2009. Bodog has set the total for Sunday's match up at 46 points.
