Green Bay (9-6, 9-6 ATS) completely dismantled the Giants in last week's 45-17 victory. Though the Packers are just 2-2 in their past four games, they improved to 3-1 ATS during that span.
Aaron Rodgers returned from a concussion to post the best performance of his career. Rodgers completed 25 of 37 passes for 404 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. He led a blistering assault in the second half, as the Packers scored three unanswered touchdowns to bust the game wide open. The running game remains a major concern, though, as the Pack managed just 119 yards at 3.4 per carry.
The defense continues to be one of the league's best. Green Bay has been soft against the run at times this year, but it held New York's vaunted running game to just 90 yards on 21 carries. Although the team had just one sack, there was no shortage of big plays; the Packers racked up six takeaways after recovering a pair of fumbles and intercepting Eli Manning four times.
Chicago (11-4, 8-6-1 ATS) is coming off a wild, 38-34 win over the New York Jets. The Bears are 7-1 in their past eight games and have covered five of their last seven outings.
Jay Cutler and the offense are looking pretty special right now. Chicago has racked up 78 points in the past two weeks thanks to six touchdown passes and just two interceptions from Cutler. More importantly, he was only sacked three times in those contests. On the ground, Matt Forte has 205 yards in his last two games. With that kind of balance, the Bears legitimately boast one of the more offenses in the NFL.
On the other side of the ball, it's hard to know what you're getting from Chicago. Three weeks ago, the "D" was destroyed by New England; two weeks ago, the Bears shut down the punchless Vikings; last week, they were gouged for nearly 400 yards by the slumping Jets. Which defense shows up against Green Bay is anybody's guess, especially in a game Chicago may not take entirely seriously with the NFC North already settled. The Bears have had some issues stopping the pass this season, which is bad news with Rodgers playing so well.
Chicago is 6-4 in its last 10 games against Green Bay, thought he Packers have a 5-4-1 edge against the spread. Chicago won 20-17 earlier this season, ending a four-game Packers winning streak both straight up and against the spread. Green Bay dominated that game but killed itself with 18 penalties. The total went under for the fifth straight time in this series; BetUS has set the total for Sunday's game at 41.5 points.
The Bears are not going to lie down for a division rival. Take the Bears +10 at 5Dimes on game day for reduced juice betting!
