The Baltimore Ravens will be looking to pull-off a rare season sweep of the rival Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday night when the two foes clash in an AFC-North tilt at Heinz Field. The kick-off for this one is slated for 8:20 p.m. (ET) and the game will be broadcast nationally on NBC.

There is no doubt that Baltimore fully understands the importance of winning this game after trying to take the wildcard route to the Super Bowl the past few years. The Ravens come in at 5-2 straight-up (4-3 against the spread) and a half-game out of first-place in the division. By virtue of their 34-7 rout of the Steelers on opening day as one-point home favorites, a win on Sunday night would go a long way towards putting them in prime position to win a coveted division title.

If Baltimore is going to have any chance to win, it will need a 60-minute effort from an offense that has struggled at times this season. While it is ranked 14th in the NFL overall and seventh in scoring with an average of 26.4 points a game, it came up woefully short in the team’s 26-13 loss to Tennessee as 5.5-point road favorites early in the season and all but disappeared in the Ravens 12-7 loss to Jacksonville as 10-point road favorites a few weeks back.

Pittsburgh also fully understands what a win would do for its chances to repeat as division champions. At 6-2 SU (4-4 ATS), a victory would even the score for the loss earlier in the season as well as create a bit a separation between the two with a bye week still on the horizon. Momentum is definitely on its side after knocking-off New England 25-17 last Sunday as a rare three-point home underdog.

The big concern for the Steelers heading into this game is a few key injuries on the defensive side of the ball. All-Pro linebacker James Harrison is already out of the lineup with an eye injury and now it looks like linebacker LaMarr Woodley will miss Sunday’s game with a tweaked hamstring. Wide Receiver Hines Ward is also nicked-up but could still be ready to go by game time.

Baltimore is 9-3 ATS in its last 12 games following an ATS loss. The total has stayed ‘under’ in nine of its last 14 games in the division.

Pittsburgh is 1-4 ATS in its last five games following an ATS win. The total has gone ‘over’ in five of its last seven games in the division.

Head-to-head in this series, the Ravens are 2-5-1 ATS in the last eight meetings and the total has gone ‘over’ in six of the last eight games played in Pittsburgh.

Point Spread Pick

Injuries aside, stick with the Steelers to come out firing on all cylinders as they avenge one of the most embarrassing defeats in the recent memory of this bitter rivalry with a solid win at home.
