The Virginia Tech Hokies will look to extend their lead in the ACC Coastal Division this Thursday night when they take-on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, who remain right on their tail. The kick-off from Bobby Dodd Stadium is slated for 8 p.m. (ET) and the game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
Virginia Tech takes a half-game lead over the Yellow Jackets into this showdown at 8-1straight-up overall and 4-1 SU in conference play. The Yellow Jackets have been even better at racking-up yards on the ground with an average of 328 yards a game, which is the second-best total in the country. They have six players with over 200 yards rushing led by quarterback Tevin Washington’s 636 yards on 168 carries. He has also thrown for 1,199 yards and 10 touchdowns. All this production has also been reflected on the scoreboard with Georgia Tech averaging 37.6 points a game.
The Hokies are 1-4 ATS in their last five games on the road and the total has stayed ‘under’ in seven of their last 11 conference games.
The Yellow Jackets are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games and the total has ‘under’ in their last four games in the ACC.
