The UCLA Bruins head to Arizona Stadium this Thursday night for a PAC-12 South Division matchup against the Arizona Wildcats, who are still searching for their first conference victory this season. Game time is set for 9 p.m. (ET) and it will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.

UCLA is coming off a bye last week and finds itself at 3-3 straight-up (1-5 against the spread) on the year after a 28-24 victory over Washington State on Oct. 8 as a four-point home favorite. The Bruins are now 2-1 SU in the conference with a win over Oregon State and a loss to Stanford. The total stayed ‘under’ the 59.5-point line against the Cougars but has been evenly split at 3-3 on the year.

Look for UCLA to try and run the ball right down the throat of this Wildcat defense as it is ranked 29th in the nation in rushing with an average of 195.5 yards a game. Running backs Jonathan Franklin and Derrick Coleman has combined for 839 yards on 140 carries for a solid average of six yards an attempt. Coleman leads the team in touchdowns with six.

It has been a rough go of it so far for Arizona. It comes in at 1-5 SU overall (2-4 ATS) and still searching for its first conference victory after four losses. The Wildcats are also coming off a bye after losing to Oregon State 37-27 as 1.5-point road favorites two weeks ago. Their only win of the season was a 41-10 romp over D-IAA Northern Arizona as 26-point home favorites in their season opener. The total has gone ‘over’ in four of their six games this year.

The one thing this Arizona team can do is move the ball through the air. Quarterback Nick Foles has already thrown for 2,255 yards and 15 touchdowns. The Wildcat passing attack is averaging 383 yards a game, which is currently ranked third in the country. He has also done an excellent job of spreading the ball around as there are five Arizona players with 25 or more receptions led by Dan Buckner’s 33 catches for 487 yards.

UCLA is 7-19 ATS in its last 26 conference games and 8-20 ATS in its last 28 games overall. The total has gone ‘over’ in seven of its last 10 games on the road.

Arizona is 3-12 ATS in its last 15 home games as a favorite of 3.5 points or more and 1-4 ATS in its last five conference games. The total has gone ‘over’ in five of its last seven home games.

Head-to-head in this series, the Bruins are 0-4 ATS in their last four trips to Arizona Stadium and just 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings overall. The home team is 6-2 ATS in the last eight games between the two and the total has stayed ‘under’ in three of the last five games overall.

Game Betting Pick

Stick with Nick Foles and the Wildcats to pass their way to their first PAC-12 victory of the year this Thursday night with a win over the Bruins that easily covers the three-point spread.
