The Ohio State Buckeyes will be looking to notch just their seventh win of the season and fifth in the Big Ten when they clash with the Michigan Wolverines this Saturday afternoon in the Big House at Ann Arbor in one of the classic rivalries in college football. The game is set to get underway at 12 p.m. (ET) and it will be broadcast nationally on ABC.

This season has gone pretty much as expected for Ohio State after a tumultuous offseason with a very pedestrian 6-5 record straight-up (5-6 against the spread) overall and a 3-4 SU losing record in Big Ten play. It comes into this one fresh- off a tough 20-14 loss to another rival, Penn State as a 6.5-point home favorite. The total stayed ‘under’ the 38-point line against the Lions and has now stayed ‘under’ in six of its 11 games this year.

The Buckeyes’ rushing attack is still fairly potent with an average of 200.7 yards a game, but they have really struggled to move the ball through the air with the 118th-ranked passing offense in all of Division I-A. This has made them very one-dimensional and predictable to say the least.

Michigan’s 28-14 loss to Michigan State earlier this season as a three-point home favorite will keep it out of the first-ever Big Ten Championship Game regardless of what happens in this one, but it is still in great position to earn a spot in a BCS Bowl Game with a win on Saturday in light of an overall record of 9-2 SU (8-3 ATS). The total has stayed ‘under’ in seven of its 11 games this season.

Behind an explosive Denard Robinson both throwing and running with the ball, the Wolverines have been able to average 33.6 points a game this season. This past Saturday, they put up 45 points on Nebraska in a lopsided 28-point victory as 3.5-point home favorites. The defense has also done its share by allowing just 15.6 points a game, which is the sixth-best average in the nation.

The Buckeyes are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games as underdogs and 5-1 ATS in their last six games as underdogs on the road. The total has stayed ‘under’ in 10 if their last 15 road games.

The Wolverines are 5-1 ATS in their last six games as favorites and 4-0 ATS in their last four games as favorites at home. The total has stayed ‘under’ in four of their last five conference games.

Head-to-head in this series, the favorite is 4-0 ATS in the last four games, but Ohio State has been favored in all four. It is 5-1 ATS in its last six trips to Ann Arbor.

Game Betting Pick

The Buckeyes come into this game as a 7.5-point underdog for good reason. This will be just another in a long list of disappointments in this lost season as the Wolverines run all over them in the Big House.
