Texas A&M (7-3, 5-4 ATS) is surging. The Aggies have won four consecutive games, including last week's 42-30 victory at Baylor. There's even better news; A&M has ripped off four straight victories against the spread.

The Aggies are doing it with a wild offense that's averaging 41 points per game during the winning streak. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill has been the difference maker. He took over under center after A&M suffered a three-game losing streak, and launched the current winning streak. He's thrown 10 touchdowns and three interceptions over the pass four games while averaging 283 yards per outing. The offense is pretty balanced though, as the Aggies are averaging 161 rush yards per game this season.

On defense, A&M will have to make some adjustments. The "D" is built on speed, intended to get to the quarterback and stop the Big 12's numerous pass offenses. Nebraska relies on the run, though, so this will be a challenge. Texas A&M is allowing just 112 rushing yards per game this season, but the Cornhuskers' power running attack is a whole new beast.

Nebraska (9-1, 4-5 ATS) had that power attack on display in last week's 20-3 win over Kansas, when the offense churned out 230 yards on the ground (though it wasn't enough to cover the 34-point spread, giving the Huskers two straight losses against the spread). That's actually 50 yards below the season average. Freshman quarterback Taylor Martinez is typically the team's big-play threat, but he's been slowed by an ankle injury over the past few weeks. Through the first eight games of the year, Nebraska racked up 27 plays of 30 yards or more. In the last two, they haven't had a play longer than 29 yards.

But the Cornhuskers are still rolling on defense. Kansas was limited to a paltry 87 yards last week, so Nebraska is peaking at precisely the right time. The Huskers own the second-best pass defense in the nation, and they tormented the Jayhawks with six sacks last week. Tannehill has yet to face a pass "D" ranked higher than 75th.

Nebraska has won five of its last seven games against A&M (4-2-1 ATS), though the Aggies won and covered last year. The total went under in that game, snapping a streak of three straight overs between these teams. BetED.com has set the total for Saturday's match up at 55 points.
