The Kansas State Wildcats will look to notch their 11th victory of the season this Friday night when they clash with another 10-win team, the Arkansas Razorbacks, in this season’s Cotton Bowl at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The kickoff is slated for 8 p.m. (ET) and the game will be broadcast nationally on FOX.

Kansas State’s surprising run through the Big 12 this season featured a 7-2 straight-up record in conference play with losses to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State as the only two blemishes on an otherwise impressive resume. The Wildcats finished the season 10-2 SU overall and a very profitable 9-3 ATS. The total went ‘over’ in eight of their 12 games.

The most impressive fact about this run was that Kansas State won and covered in six games this season as an underdog. It also covered as a 20.5-point road underdog in a 52-45 loss to the No.3 Cowboys on Nov.5. The Wildcats were ranked 27th in the country in rushing offense with an average of 193.7 yards per game. Quarterback Collin Klein proved to be a duel threat by leading the team in rushing with 1,099 yards on 293 carries. He also threw for 12 touchdowns while running in 26 on his own to help this team average 33.1 points a game.

The Razorbacks made their living this season by passing the ball on offense with an average of 307.8 yards a game. Tyler Wilson did an excellent job in filling the void left by Ryan Mallett with 3,422 passing yards and 22 touchdowns. Jarius Wright was on the receiving end of 63 of those throws for 1,029 yards and half of the TD’s. The defense remained fairly stout all season long; holding opponents to an average of 22.8 points a game.

The Wildcats are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games as underdogs, but 0-5 ATS in their last five bowl games. The total has gone ‘over’ in 16 of their last 21 games overall.

The Razorbacks are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games against the Big 12, but 0-4 ATS in their last four bowl games. The total has gone ‘over’ in their last five games overall, but stayed ‘under’ in their last eight bowl games.

Game Betting Pick

This should be an exciting matchup between two teams that have shown the ability to rise to the occasion in big games this year. The strength of schedule advantage clearly goes to Arkansas, but stick with Kansas State to use the extra half point on the spread to cover as 7.5-point underdogs.

Take the Kansas State Widcats +7.5.
