No. 12 Miami at No. 2 Ohio State (-8.5) - Saturday, 3:40 p.m. ET

The Buckeyes fired on all cylinders in last week's 45-7 win over Marshall. Terrell Pryor had a very efficient day under center, going 17/25 for 247 yards and three scores before taking a seat. The rushing attack cranked out 280 yards and another two touchdowns. The Buckeye defense only produced one turnover, but it tormented the Thundering Herd all afternoon. Marshall managed just 155 yards in the air and was absolutely awful on the ground, carrying 21 times for 44 yards. In fact, the only blemish on the day was a special teams play; Marshall blocked and returned a field goal 61 yards for its lone score.

The Hurricanes easily topped Florida A&M 45-0. Jacory Harris dropped a masterful performance, going 12/15 for 210 yards and three touchdowns in just a half of action. That was enough to stake Miami a 35-0 halftime lead. Miami was solid if unspectacular on the ground, rushing for 155 pretty quiet yards. Defensively, the Canes choked Florida A&M to death. Like OSU, Miami only produced one turnover (which was returned for a score), but it didn't matter. Florida A&M was held to an embarrassing 110 total yards.

Ohio State covered as a 28-point favorite against Marshall and went over the total; Miami didn't have odds on the board against A&M. These teams have met just twice before, and not since 2003, when the Buckeyes earned the National Championship.

No. 18 Penn State at No. 1 Alabama (-12.5) - Saturday, 7:00 p.m. ET

Despite playing without Heisman-winning running back Mark Ingram, Alabama ran wild in a 48-3 win over San Jose State last week. The Tide cranked out 257 yards and four touchdowns on the ground without their best player; that's good news, as Ingram may sit out this match up, too. Alabama got a deadly-efficient day from Greg McElroy, who went 13/15 for 218 yards and a score. The Crimson Tide defense obliterated San Jose State, holding their opponent to just 175 total yards. Even with some losses to the NFL this season, the Alabama "D" looks like a force to be reckoned with.

The Nittany Lions cruised to a 44-14 win over Youngstown State in their season opener. Freshman quarterback Rob Bolden held his own, gong 20/29 for 239 yards and two touchdowns (he also threw an interception). Penn State did a solid job on the ground, too, racking up 132 yards and a pair of scores. On the other side of the football, the Nittany Lions were shaky against the pass; Youngstown State quarterback Kurt Hess completed 21 of his 25 passes, including two touchdowns.

Alabama covered the 39.5-point spread against San Jose State but went under the 51.5-point total. Penn State didn't have any lines on the board for Week 1.
