Ohio State tops seeding and odds to win the Big Ten Championship. Can the Buckeyes live up to expectations, or will a team like Purdue or Wisconsin step into the conversation? Here's a breakdown of Big Ten Championship odds in order of seeding, with odds from SportsInteraction.
1. Ohio State +150
Ohio State (16-15 against the spread this season) closed out the season with a nice run, winning 10 of its last 11 games-including the current four-game winning streak (the loss came to second-seeded Purdue). The Buckeyes are also picking up some steam on college basketball odds, winning three of four against the spread.
KEY PLAYERS: Evan Turner is Mr. Everything for the Buckeyes; the junior leads the team in scoring (19.5 PPG), rebounding (9.4 RPG) and assists (5.8 APG) this season.
2. Purdue +450
Purdue (13-17 ATS) closed out the regular season with a 12-1 run, but it suffered some brutal news when Robbie Hummel-the team's second-leading scorer and rebounder-was lost for the year with an injury. The Boilermakers have been brutal at the sportsbook, going 0-5 ATS in their last five games.
KEY PLAYERS: E'Twaun Moore leads the team in scoring at 16.7 points per game, while center JuJuan Johnson is a regular double-double threat (14.9 points, 7.2 rebounds per game).
3. Michigan State +175
Michigan State (12-18 ATS) has rebounded from a rough patch in early to mid-February to win five of its past six games, including three straight. There hasn't been a ton of success on college basketball lines, though, as the Spartans are 3-2 against the spread in their past five games.
KEY PLAYERS: Four players average double figures for MSU, but guard Kalin Lucas is the main weapon. He leads the Spartans in scoring with 14.8 points per game while chipping in 3.9 assists.
4. Wisconsin +200
Wisconsin (17-11 ATS) won its final four games of the regular season. Sports betting fans have also been able to trust the Badgers as of late, as they've covered three consecutive games on college basketball odds.
KEY PLAYERS: Three guards-Trevon Hughes, Jason Bohannon and Jordan Taylor-are averaging at least 10 points per game for Wisconsin. Forward Jon Leuer is averaging 14.9 points (second on the team) and 5.7 rebounds (first) per game.
