Utah (50-27, 47-27-3 ATS) was racking up some serious momentum for the postseason until a 106-102 loss to the Lakers last Friday. Before that, the Jazz had won six of their last seven games. The Jazz have suffered a recent slide at the sportsbook, though; they've covered six of their past 10 games against the spread, but Utah is just 2-3 ATS in its last five games against NBA odds. The team has been dominant at home-Utah is 8-2 in its last 10 home games against the spread.
Carlos Boozer did everything he could against the Lakers, racking up 20 points and 18 rebounds in the loss. Deron Williams was just as solid, posting 20 points while dishing out 10 assists. Losing Andrei Kirilenko to a calf injury certainly hasn't helped though; the Lakers game was the fourth straight he's missed. The small forward is averaging 11.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game this season. It would be nice if a role player like Paul Millsap stepped up in Kirilenko's absence-Millsap was just 3-10 for eight points against Los Angeles.
Oklahoma City (48-28, 45-31 ATS) has bulled its way to four consecutive victories. The Thunder topped Minnesota 116-108 on Sunday, improving the team to 6-1 in its past seven outings. Wins have been coming frequently at the sportsbook, too-Oklahoma City has covered five of its past seven games on NBA odds. Taking to the road shouldn't faze the Thunder; the team has rolled to three straight wins against the spread when playing away from home.
The Thunder has made a name for itself defensively this season, allowing 97.1 points per game (10th in the NBA), but the offense has been rather impressive during the current four-game winning streak. Oklahoma has cracked triple-digits in all four games and is averaging 114.3 points in those contests. Kevin Durant led the team in scoring in each of those games, including a 40-point outburst against Minny on the weekend. Point guard Russell Westbrook has also played exceptionally well; he has double-doubles in three of those games (14.5 points, 11 assists per game).
Oklahoma City has topped Utah in three straight meetings-covering two of them. They met in mid-March, with the Thunder winning and covering 119-111. The Thunder and Jazz have gone over the total in two of their last three match ups. Sportsbook.com has the total set at 212.5.
